Base Class: Sorcerer
Your innate magic comes from a connection with a Rakshasa a devil of the Nine Hells. Perhaps you, or an ancestor, made a deal with a Rakshasa long ago and you are now cursed with its power. Perhaps you have Rakshasan blood flowing in your veins. Those affected by the power of the Rakshasa tend to be driven by a desire for revenge, have a penchant for deceit, and command an otherworldly charm. Will you use this curse in pursuit of the greater good or will you succumb to fiendish desires?
Rakshasan Magic
You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Rakshasan Spells table. Each spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. These spells can’t be replaced when you gain a level in this class.
Rakshasan Spells
| Sorcerer Level | Spells |
|---|---|
| 1st | disguise self, charm person |
| 3rd | detect thoughts, suggestion |
| 5th | major image, fly |
| 7th | compulsion, phantasmal killer |
| 9th | dominate person, dream |
The Nightmare Curse
Starting at 1st level, you can curse your enemies with disturbing nightmares. Whenever you hit a creature with an attack you can spend two sorcery points and curse them.
Creatures affected by the curse must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or become frightened for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success. If a creature's saving throw is successful or the effect ends for it, the creature is immune to being frightened from this feature for the next 24 hours.
Creatures affected by this curse gain no benefit from finishing a short or long rest.
The curse lasts until it is lifted by a remove curse spell or similar magic.
The Devil's Silver Tongue
Starting at 6th level, you inherit the Rakshasan aptitude for manipulation and deceit. When making deception and insight checks you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.
Feindish Immunites
Starting at 14th level you become immune to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks. You also become vulnerable to piercing damage from magic weapons wielded by good creatures
Evil Reborn
Starting at 18th level your soul is no longer tied to the Material Plane. Should you die in the Material Plane you are instead transported to the Iron Ctiy of Dis in the Nine Hells.
