Monk
Base Class: Monk

By focusing your Ki, you are able to view and manipulate the Arcane Weave.  As your discipline evolves, you are able to pull threads and rework them into a pattern more to your liking.  With enough effort and practice, Woven Monks are able to alter the flow of magic around them and visualize the threads of spells.

Arcane Acclimation

At 3rd level, when you choose this tradition, choose one school of magic.  You gain resistance to damage from any spell cast from this school(negating castings that ignore resistance) and have advantage on saving throws against spells from your chosen school. In addition, you can spend one Ki point to cast the spell Detect Magic. You may choose an additional school of magic at level 9, 14, and 20.

Arcane Ki

At 6th level, you have honed your concentration and become attuned with the Arcane Weave to the point that you are able to touch an object or person that has been imbued with magic and can discern the magical properties of it.  You may spend 1 Ki point and cast the spell Identify.  In addition, if you touch an object or creature with a magical effect, you may spend 2 Ki points and your touch has the effect of the Dispel Magic spell(Using Wisdom as the ability modifier).  Once used, this ability can not be used again until the end of a long rest.

Pulling Strings

At 11th level, your focus and training have given you a stronger connection to the Arcane Weave through your Ki.  When a spell is cast within 60 feet of you, you are able to see the threads of the spell as they traverse the weave towards their target.  You may spend 3 Ki points as a reaction, and pluck the threads of the spell and remove them from the weave.  Any spell of 3rd level or lower fails and has no effect.  Any spell of 4th level or higher requires an ability check using Wisdom with the DC being 10+ the spells level.

Re-threading the Weave

At 17th level, you have mastered your ability to manipulate the Arcane Weave and are able to repattern the arcane threads to your will.  When a spell is cast at you that you can see, you may spend 4 Ki points and redirect the spell at a new target within the range of the initial spell.  If the spell is of level 5 or higher, you must make an ability check with your Wisdom to see if you can redirect it.  The DC for the check is 11+the spell level.  In addition, when targeted by a damaging spell, you may choose to accept the hit and regain a number of Ki points equal to the spell’s level, however, the damage received from the spell is maximized.  You must choose to do this before the attack roll is made. Once you use this ability, you may not use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
