Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Before chosing this pact, you should discuss with your DM whether the Chained Trickster fits into the world they have created, and if so, how.

Your pact deity gives you both power over the fire he was punished for sharing, and a glimpse into the deceptive magics used to steal it.

This deity is chained and subjected to constant pain, and in spite of being the greatest advocate for mortals, having cheated the gods for their sake, the Trickster has no temples.

In some settings, The Trickster will be largely forgotten by mortals, in others considered a tragic hero.  Clerics and Paladins, especially of the god or gods who imprisoned the Trickster, might object to the Trickster having followers.

Prometheus is the archetypical Chained Trickster.

You have advantage against being restrained or paralyzed.

Shifting Presence

Starting at 6th level, your patron's shifting nature is bleeding onto you. You gain +2 AC while standing.

Flaming Skin

Starting at 10th level, you can ignite your skin for one minute per short or long rest.  On activation, and at the start of your turn while this effect is active, any creatures of your choice within 10 feet suffer 1D12 fire damage.  Enemies who hit you with a melee attack suffer 1D12 fire damage.

While active, you are immune to fire damage, and convert half of the damage you would have received into temporary hit points.

Shared Wrath

Starting at 14th level, when you hit a creature with an attack, you can use this feature to instantly transport the target to the site of your Patron's punishment.

At the end of your next turn, the target returns to the space it previously occupied, or the nearest unoccupied space. The target takes 5d20 damage of a type decided by your Patron's manner of punishment.  For example, if your patron is punished by swarming scorpions, the target suffers 2d20 piercing damage, and 3d20 poison damage.  If your patron is crushed under boulders, the target suffers 5d20 bludgeoning damage.  Discuss the form this damage will take with your DM before using this ability.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Unbound Spell List

Your patron is free, and can choose to grant you new spells to reflect this.

These spells are always available, and don't count against your spell list.
