Bard
Base Class: Bard

There are many core values to being a bard; being able to tell a heroic story, being an A class entertainer, being able to cast spells through sheer artistry alone. However, artistry isn’t restricted to instruments and song. Artistry comes in many different forms, and at the College of Dance it comes in the form of Dance.

Bonus Proficiencies

When you join the College of Dance at 3rd level you can use the movements of your dance as a spellcasting focus to cast your bard spells.

You gain proficiency in performance and your proficiency bonus is doubled when you make an ability check with performance.

In addition, your quick physical movements give you stronger Unarmed Strikes. You can use Dexterity instead of Strength for the attack and damage rolls of your unarmed strikes and you can roll a d4 in place of the normal damage of your unarmed strike.

Fluid Dancer

Beginning at 3rd Level, while you are wearing a costume, fancy clothes, or similar garments, and no shield your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier.

Inspiring Dance

When you join the College of Dance at 3rd level, you gain the ability to inspire your allies with a dance.

As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to perform an Inspiring Dance for an ally. When you do choose one creature within 15 feet of you that can see you perform. That creature can use its reaction to immediately move it’s speed and take an additional action. That action can be used only to take an Attack (one weapon attack only), Cast a Spell (cantrip only), Dash, Disengage, Hide, or Use an Object action.

Dancing Styles

At 6th level, you learn three different dancing styles that you can weave into your combat skills on the battlefield. Each dance takes an action to start, and lasts for one minute, or until you switch to a different dancing style. You can perform a number of theses dances equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum of one). You regain all expended uses of your dancing styles after you take a long rest.

Centered Dance

A strongly articulated dance. During the round you start this dance you have resistance to all damage types until the start of your next turn. In addition, as a bonus action you can gain a +2 to your AC until the start of your next turn while you are performing this dance.

Speed Dance

An unpredictable free flowing dance. During the turn you start this dance your speed is double until the start of your next turn. In addition, your movement does not provoke opportunity attack and you can take the dash action as a bonus action while performing this dance.

War Dance

A passionate and fierce dance. At the start of this dance you immediately perform two unarmed strike attacks. Your unarmed strikes are magical for getting over magical resistance, and can roll a d6 in place of your normal unarmed strike damage. In addition, as a bonus action you can make an additional unarmed strike while you are performing this dance.

Dance Style Expertise

At 14th level, you get to choose one of your three dancing styles to make your primary dance style. When you perform your primary dancing style it reads as follow.

Centered Dance Expertise

A strongly articulated dance. During the round you start this dance you have resistance to all damage types until the start of your next turn. In addition, as a bonus action you can take the dodge action and gain a +2 to your AC until the start of your next turn while you are performing this dance.

Speed Dance Expertise

An even more unpredictable free flowing dance. During the turn you start this dance your speed is doubled until the start of your next turn. In addition your movement does not provoke opportunity attack, you gain a fly speed equal to your speed, and you can take the dash action as a bonus action while performing this dance.

War Dance Expertise

At the start of this dance you immediately perform two unarmed strike attacks. Your unarmed strikes are magical for getting over magical resistance, and can roll a d6 in place of your normal unarmed strike damage. In addition, as a bonus action you can make an additional two unarmed strikes while you are performing this dance.
