Base Class: Bard
Bards that are part of the College of Fables and Tales devote their life to learning and passing on stories, picking up any and every local legend and tall tale that they can through their travels. The stories they tell are a mix of the truth and embellishments in order to bring a sense of wonder and mystique to the stories they share. These bards are not necessarily basing their magic on music but can pull people into lending an ear to their performance by telling stories specifically crafted for their audience. Using the craft of Fables and Tales, they can inspire their allies to do great deeds, save their allies from impending doom, and turn their allies into the heroes of legend straight from their stories.
Members of the College of Fables and Tales will always alter the stories they tell to suit the audience that hears them, so each story is slightly different every time they tell it, but usually the moral the Bard is trying to make will still affect those who hear the Tale. Bards of this college will often share stories with one other should they every meet, but these stories they tell each other are always truthful. It is up to the individual bard to put his own embellishment on the fables he tells, so the stories need to be factual, but simple.
There is no set home or meeting place for Bards that belong to the College of Fables and Tales, as most of what they practice is either already recorded elsewhere, or passed on orally to other Bards wishing to join.
Bonus Proficiencies
At 3rd level you gain proficiency in Deception, History, and their choice of one of the following: [Arcana, Investigation, Nature, Religon]
Storytime
At 3rd level, when you use your Song of Rest ability, each ally may also receive one of the following benefits:
--Advantage on one saving throw
--1 additional Song of Rest dice worth of Temporary HP
--1 Reroll on an attack roll or skill check.
The extra effects of Storytime last for 1 hour or until used
Tall Tales
Starting at 6th level, you may spend 10 minutes telling a story to a group of chosen allies, no more than your Charisma modifier. On your turn, you may give your bardic inspiration dice to every ally that can hear you that also listened to your Tall Tales as a bonus action instead of just one ally. If you do so, Tale Tales behaves as if they received the Bardic Inspiraton dice normally, using only one use of the ability. If you use Tall Tales, it may not be used again until you take a Long Rest.
Living Legends
At 14th level, you may spend 1 hour telling a grand tale about the deeds you and your allies have accomplished and will succeed at in the future. At the end of this hour, you may cast the Heroes’ Feast spell even if it is not on your spell list. You do not need any material components to cast the spell, and if your allies spent the full hour listening to you, both you and them gain the full benefits of the spell without having to spend the required hour to “partake of the banquet.” You cannot use this ability only on yourself. You may only use this ability once every 3 days.

Posted Nov 5, 2018I’ve noticed a bug in the coding for this subclass. At 3rd level it asks you to choose a proficiency, but gives no options. There is a second drop down for an Int, Wis, or Cha skill, but the 1st option is just flagged with an exclamation point. Asking you to choose from no options. Otherwise, I do like this subclass.
