Bard
Base Class: Bard

Your education led you to embrace your personal emotions during your performance, enhancing the intensity of your music as well as your mastery over your own emotions. You are able to tap into your inner self to perform combinations of bewildering performance and physical feats that most could only dream of.

Musical Rage

At 3rd level, if you are not using a shield and not using medium or heavy armor, as a bonus action, you can enter a musical rage. While in musical rage, you gain the following benefits:

  • You can effortlessly switch between your instrument and a single weapon, attacking with the weapon before switching back to the instrument.
  • You have advantage on Strength checks and Saving Throws
  • When you make a melee weapon attack, the attack deals an additional 2 damage.

The musical rage lasts for 1 minute, until you are incapacitated, or you choose to end the rage by not playing. You cannot cast spells of a level higher than one third your level in Bard while in rage, up to a maximum spell level of 3.

You can enter rage 2 times before a long rest.

Both the amount of rages and extra damage dealt increases as you level up in this class, identical to what is listed for Barbarians on their respective columns on the Barbarian table 2 levels lower than your level in this class. For example, if you are a 6th level Bard, you have 3 uses of rage, and +2 damage on a weapon attack (identical to a 4th level barbarian).

Sense Danger

At 3rd level, due to your mastery of emotions, you can block out internal distractions, and pay more attention to traps and feelings of unease and uncertainty. You have advantage on Dexterity Saving throws against effects that you can see, such as traps and spells, as long as you are not blinded, deafened, or incapacitated

Extra Attack

Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, when you take the Attack action on your turn.

Heightened Instincts

Starting at 14th level, you flawlessly dodge enemy attacks, and you can more swiftly join a battle. You gain the following benefits:

  • You have advantage on Initiative Rolls
  • After taking the Dodge Action, an attacker rolls 3 dice instead of 2 when determining disadvantage
