Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Frozen One have befallen a tragic fate that has permanently affected their internal body temperature. By dealing with their plight through mastering ki energy, these monks can not only learn to survive with their extremely low body temperature, they can use it to extend their combat abilities beyond what was previously considered to be achievable.

Creeping Frost

Starting at 3rd level, a Frozen One has learned to use their temperature manipulation to damage others.

Snow Flurry: In addition to Flurry of Blows, a Frozen One can spend an extra ki point to empower the Flurry of Blows with cold damage. By spending a total of 2 ki points (1 for Flurry of Blows, 1 for Snow Flurry), the Snow Flurry ability adds cold damage to both unarmed attacks equal to your Martial Arts Die.

Thermal Bite: As an action, you can cause one creature you can see within 30 feet of you to contract the early stages of frostbite. Upon being targeted, the creature makes a Constitution Saving Throw against your Ki Ability Save. If the creature fails, it takes cold damage equal to your Martial Arts Die and its movement is halved until your next turn.

Offensive Freeze

Beginning at 6th level, a Frozen One can shape ice into basic potential weaponry.

Ice Knife: At this level, you can spend 2 ki points to summon a blade made of ice (dagger). This blade counts as a monk weapon and you have proficiency in wielding this weapon. Besides the normal dagger damage, you may also add cold damage equal to your Wisdom modifier. This blade lasts 1 minute (10 rounds); when exposed to extreme heat conditions (e.g. desert heat, direct flame, etc.), the duration is reduced by half. When in extreme cold conditions, the blade lasts twice as long.

Icy Defense

Starting at 11th level, a Frozen One has access to ice's sturdiness and defensiveness. Through this higher level of ice control, the monk can bolster their defense by creating icy armor.

Ice Bracers: By spending 1 ki point to make bracers made of ice, a Frozen One can bolster themselves, which adds 1 to your AC for 1 minute. When attacked with a melee weapon attack, you can also choose to shatter the bracers to cause 2d6 extra cold damage to all creatures within melee range. The damage raises by 1d6, the range of ice shattering expands by 5 ft., and the duration raises by a minute for every extra ki point expended.

Absolute Zero

A Frozen One of 17th level has completely mastered the art of ki empowered temperature manipulation.

Freezing Fist Strike: You can use 4 ki points to activate a creeping frost over a creature you attack with an unarmed strike, at which the creature must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed Con save, the targeted creature is frozen over and is restrained. At the end of every turn, the creature makes another Con save; if three saves are passed, the effect on the creature ends. If the creature fails three Con saves first, it is fully encased in ice and is under the paralyzed condition (which ends when the creature is thawed out). When this attack is used on the same creature while it is already making Con saves, the strike counts as a failed Con save for the creature.
