Base Class: Wizard
A wizard that follows this path will learn how to fabricate things from the reality around them, helping a farmer create a metal fence from a few useless lumps of iron for example. However, a wizard who is particularly powerful in this school of magic will be able to create things from almost nothing, and the more powerful they are, the more complex these creations can be.
Picky Savant
At 2nd Level, all spells on the wizard list cost the full amount of gold when you copy a spell into your spellbook, however you are given ten points that go towards spells you can copy into your spellbook, when you choose to copy a spell into your spellbook you may choose to spend one of the ten points and the cost of the materials to copy the spell are now halved. You only have ten of these points levels 1-20, so choose wisely.
Creation Magic
At second level you gain the ability to fabricate things using magic based on the amount of raw materials you have.
Much like the Fabricate spell, you must have an amount of similar materials based on what you want to create.
However, you can only create an object that is no longer than 7 feet on a side, in essence you can only create Medium or smaller objects.
You must also have double the amount of the materials, so if you wish to create a 7 foot ladder out of rope and wood, you must have double the amount of wood for the rungs, and twice the length of rope needed.
Improved Creation
At 6th level you no longer require double the amount of raw materials to create an item (your feature now acts as the Fabricate spell is written)
You also gain the ability to cast Create Food and Water, this counts as a wizard spell for you and does not go against the total number of spells you can know.
Planeswalker
At 10th level, your mastery over Creation is reaching new heights, you are now considered Attuned to the Prime Material Plane (or whatever Plane of existence your character spends most of their time), and any time a creature tries to teleport you away from this plane and you are unwilling you may make a Wisdom Saving throw equal to the caster's spell save DC.
You may also choose another plane of existence, Plane of Fire, Elysium, etc. and spend 150 gold and 8 hours of research and Attune to that plane as well, you may choose to attune to a different plane at any time, but you may only be attuned to two at a time, and you are always attuned to your home plane. Unattuning takes zero gold or materials, you are considered unattuned as soon as you spend the time and money to attune to a new one.
You may also create an additional spellcasting focus that you must spend 8 hours and 200 gold to create. Once you create this focus it allows you to travel to a target destination in general terms to the place you wish to appear on the plane you are travelling to. If you are trying to get to a specific location, ou will appear within the general area but not at the exact location you wish to go.
Creation of False Life
Through your research you have found tomes that talk about how wizards have used their arcane powers to create a semblance of sentience out of raw materials.
Essentially this acts as the Simulacrum spell, however, you may choose any material you wish to in order to create this creature, not just snow or ice.
However, the created life has characteristics based off of what you choose to create them out of. For Example:
Metal: The creature has an AC of 18 but a movement speed of 20ft.
Wood: The creature has advantage on stealth checks in wooded environments.
Snow/Ice: The Creature can ignore all negative effects of being in snowy environments such as rough terrain or damage from the weather.
Talk with your DM about what sorts of characteristics a creature made out of certain materials might have.
