Base Class: Barbarian
Most barbarians choose powerful weaponry, and value strength above all else, but some fall in love with the wilder, more sinister ways of killing that small weapons provide. Bladeslinger barbarians value finesse weaponry and Dexterity over Strength, enjoying the sensation of slashing opponents with knives in both hands. Many barbarians of smaller stature and constitution end up choosing this path, as well as those who enjoy a faster, more chaotic approach to battle. It's also a good path for trappers, trophy hunters, cooks, and other folk who want to kill creatures with precision in order to salvage their hides or meat.
Bladeslinging
At 3rd level, you can use a bonus action on your turn to take the Dash, Disengage, or Dodge action.
While raging, your Rage Damage bonus can be applied to melee weapon attacks that use Dexterity, as long as the weapon has the finesse property. While two-weapon fighting, the rage damage applies to both weapons as long as they both have the finesse property, but otherwise all regular rules of two-weapon fighting apply.
Defensive Flurries
At 6th level, you can use the following reactions while raging:
Riposte. When a hostile creature misses you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to make one melee attack against that creature.
Bullet Slice. By spinning your blades quickly, you attempt to block or slice missiles in half as they fly toward you. When you are hit by a ranged weapon attack, you can use your reaction to roll a d8. On a roll of 5, 6, or 7, you reduce the damage by the rolled amount + your Dexterity modifier. On a roll of 8, the attack misses you instead.
Knife Confetti
Starting at 10th level, whenever you make a melee attack with a dagger as part of your attack action, you gain a special attack that you can use until the end of your turn.
As part of this special attack, you can make ranged weapon attacks with any number of daggers that you were currently holding in your hands during the triggering attack. After these ranged attacks, you draw a number of daggers to replace the number of daggers you threw (as long as you have them available), and the special attack ends.
This special attack can be done even if you use a bonus action to do two-weapon fighting on the same turn. For example, if you're using a dagger and a shortsword, you can do the two-weapon fighting as a bonus action, and then throw the dagger and replace it as part of this special attack. If you're using two daggers, you can do the two-weapon fighting, and then throw and replace both daggers as part of the special attack.
Psychic Weapon
At 14th level, your mind is so devoted to your preferred weaponry that you can harness some of that energy to create a psychic weapon in your hand.
You gain the ability to cast Shadow Blade as a 2nd-level spell. The shadow blade takes the form of a dagger and can be used for your Knife Confetti feature. (Bear in mind the spell's rules about throwing and recalling the weapon.) Once you cast this spell, you can't do so again until you've completed a long rest.
