Mountebank

A charismatic rogue who specializes is getting out of sticky situations and telling half-truths to tell people all you think they need to know.

Charmer

At 3rd level, you learn the charm person spell, and can cast it at 1st level, when you do so, as long as you are speaking, you do not have to follow the somatic components for the spell. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier and regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.

Fool Me Once

Additionally at 3rd level, your mastery of language grants you the ability to convince and deceive others. You gain expertise in Deception and Persuasion. If you already have expertise in one or both of these skills, you may choose to gain expertise in another rogue skill (or skills) that you have proficiency in.

Master of Many Cheats

At 9th level, your ability to deceive transcends the language barrier. You are able to cast the Comprehend Languages spell without verbal, somatic, or material components. You may do this a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). You regain all expanded uses of this feature when you finish a short or long rest.

Are You Sure About That?

At 13th level, your mastery of deceiving and convincing comes in handy even in the most dire circumstances. When a creature makes an attack against you, you may use your reaction to make a persuasion check contested against the creature's Insight. If you succeed, the creature must attack another creature within 5 feet of you. If there is no other creature within 5 feet of you, their attack is wasted. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum 1) and you regain all expended uses of it when you finish at short rest.

Double Take

At 17th level, your skills are honed enough that your illusions are some of the hardest to see through. When you make a melee attack, make a Deception check, contested by the target's Insight. On a success, your feint distracts the enemy, granting you advantage on the attack.
