Bard
Base Class: Bard

Tal was joking after Nott and Beau's frighteningly real conversation about the potential of a bardic subclass that is just... a therapist. So, here's my attempt at one:

Therapist's Gaze

When you join the College of Remediation at 3rd level, your therapeutic training allows you to shrewdly see past pretense. You become an expert at the insight skill.

Professional Intervention

At 3rd level, you become adept at preventing damaging psychological effects from taking root within the minds of your allies. When an ally within 60 feet of you makes an Intelligence or Wisdom saving throw, you may use your reaction to roll a Bardic Inspiration dice and add it to that ally's saving throw. You may do this after the d20 roll has been made, but before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails.

Reassuring Presence

When you reach 6th level, you have become a beacon of mental resolve. You and allies within 30 feet of you have resistance to psychic damage while you are conscious.

Breakthrough

At 14th level, your unparalleled therapeutic instinct allows you to reshape the personality of creatures around you.

If you spend at least ten minutes in conversation with a creature, you can attempt to change their motivation to a new motivation of your choosing. The creature must succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC, or have their motivation changed for 24 hours.

If the target succeeds on its saving throw, the target has no hint that you tried to influence its personality in this way.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Therapy Spells

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you learn the cantrips Guidance and Resistance.

You also learn the spells Cure Wounds, Healing Word, Aid, Calm Emotions, and Lesser Restoration.  For each spell you already know, you can learn a bard spell that you could learn at this level.

These cantrips and spells don't count against the number of bard spells you know.
