Demon Slayer Corps

The Archetypal Demon Slayer focuses on the elimination of Demons and the Protection of the Human race. Those who choose to train and model themselves on this archetype raise and hone their physical prowess and learn to master the techniques and forms of Breathing Styles to assist them in their never ending battle against the Demons.

 

Breath Style

Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to use a Breath Style of your choosing in combat for the rest of this class. Your breath style determines your elemental damage is and what you can do in Total Concentration Constant. 

  •  The # of breath points is equal to your Fighter Lvl. + Con. (Regain points after short/long rest)
  • Your damage bonus with breath is your Wisdom modifier
  • DC = 8 + Proficiency + Wisdom Modifier

Breath of Lightning

Lightning Damage

Starting when you choose this Breath Style at 3rd level, you have learned the importance of overwhelming speed and carefully placed strikes. Your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20. At 10th level, you have advantage on initiative rolls.

Breath of Water

Cold Damage

When you choose this Breath Style at 3rd level, you have learned that a calm and rational mind wins battles. You can use your Wisdom modifier instead of your Strength or Dexterity modifier for the attack and damage rolls of your weapons. Starting at 10th level, when you move on your turn, you take only half damage from opportunity attacks,

Breath of Wind

Slashing Damage

When you choose this Breath Style at 3rd level, you have learned that your enemies can't avoid your attacks if there's nowhere to dodge. You can use your Dexterity modifier instead of your Wisdom modifier for your Ki save DC. In addition, starting at 10th level you ignore the Evasion feature.

Excessive Training

Due to your excessive training as a Demon Slayer, you gain the following benefits:

  • Expending one breath point you can infuse your standard attack with your element
  • You have advantage on fiends, undead, and aberrations

Total Concentration Constant

Starting at 10th level you gain the ability to control your breathing through your everyday life even while you are asleep. Choose two of the following benefits

  • Your movement increases by 10ft ( +5 at Lvl.15, +5 at Lvl.20) 
  • You gain another damage die to your breath attacks
  • Every other level gains +1 additional Breath Points to the normal level + Wis. scaling

Battle Hardened

Your experience in the field allows you to gain the following benefit at Level 15:

  • Increase your AC by 1 or your Strength modifier with a max of 2

Demon Slayer Mark

You have unlocked the Demon Slayer Mark as a result of your strength and will power to overcome life threatening situations. At 18th Level you gain the following benefits:

  • When you are out of breath points, at the start of a battle you gain one breath point
  • Gain another damage die to your breath attacks
