Base Class: Barbarian
You've struck a deal with the Lesser Aspect Exanimis, you follow its path though the thin lines between Life and Death.
Pact Magic
The magic bestowed on you by your patron has given you facility with spells. See Spells Rules for the general rules of spellcasting and the Spells Listing for the barbarian (warlock) spell list.
Cantrips
You know two cantrips of your choice from the barbarian spell list. You learn additional barbarian cantrips of your choice at higher levels.
Spellcasting Ability
Constitution is your spellcasting ability for your barbarian spells, so you use your Constitution whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your Constitution modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a barbarian spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.
Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier
Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier
Spellcasting Focus
You can use any weapon you are proficient with as a spellcasting focus for your barbarian spells.
Calculated Rage
You have left the anger and lack of control that plagues Barbarians behind, instead when you rage you become as cold and calculating as Death, allowing you to use magic and think clearly while raging. You may cast spells provided by this subclass while raging, additionally as a Bonus Action, you may expend a Barbarian Spell Slot on your turn to Rage.
Among the Dead
Starting at 3rd level, you learn the spare the dying cantrip, which counts as a barbarian cantrip for you. You also have advantage on saving throws against any disease.
Additionally, you count as an Undead as well as a Humanoid for purposes of effects and abilities.
Endless Rage
Starting at 6th level, your deep connection with the Exanimis Aspect keeps you from falling in battle and allows you to continue dealing death. While Raging you gain resistance to necrotic damage Additionally if damage reduces you to 0 hit points but not outright kill you, make a Constitution saving throw with a DC of 10 or half the damage taken (whichever is higher), unless the damage is radiant. On a success, you drop to 1 hit point instead.
Armies of the Afterlife
At 10th level, the Exanimis Aspect gives you power over death itself, allowing you to raise the dead and serve you. Once per long rest you may cast the spell animate dead at its lowest level without requiring a spell slot or components.
Death Conduit
Beginning at 14th level, you become a conduit of life and death, treading the thin line between them.
When you enter your rage, you can choose a number of willing creatures you can see within 30 feet of you equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of one creature). Until your rage ends, the chosen creatures gain one of the resistances you currently have (you choose which one), additionally as a reaction when you or one of the selected creatures falls unconscious you may sacrifice one of your minions gained from Armies of the Afterlife to return them to 1 hit point.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Posted Jun 8, 2020This is a subclass for barbarian specifically made for one of my campaigns and is a way to incorporate warlock into barbarian without multiclassing, the patron is The Exanimis Aspect which is the equivalent of an otherworldly entity that oversees the the space between life and death and also the undead. I think it may be more powerful than I planned for but I would like opinions, thats why I decided to share it with the community.
