Base Class: Sorcerer
Many times throughout history, the world has nearly fallen to forces far beyond it in scope and power. These creatures, these titans are nigh unkillable, but hold a fatal flaw. They can be bound to the bloodline of a family, past down by fathers to their children and their children after. Entire lineages have borne this curse to prevent these vessels of doomsday from being released once more into the world. Yet, titans are not all wicked, monstrous creatures. There have been benevolent titans that have either fallen sick, or sacrificed themselves for the bloodlines that now bind them. For these, binding themselves is the only way that they can live and care for the world around them.
The titans of the world are many and varied. The titan bound to your soul may be horribly wicked, wonderfully holy, or some strange mixture in between. Notable examples of these titans might include Hollow, the Lord of Wights, the Beast of Tails, or the Dragon King. Discuss with your DM what your bound titan might be and the best way to implement it into the world around you.
Bound by Blood
You hold a special relationship with an immense titan beyond compare. As its jailor, you are able to (knowingly or not) draw upon a fraction of its immense power and knowledge.
You may choose one exotic language that represents the titan bound to your soul, you are able to read, write, and speak in this language. In addition, you learn an additional spell based on this language, as shown below. It is a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known. If you later replace this spell, you must replace it with a spell from the sorceror spell list.

Desperate Savior
For reasons known or not, the titan bound within your soul seeks to keep you alive in the most dire of situations. Starting at 1st level, this power courses through you. Whenever you make a saving throw, you may choose to use your reaction to do so with advantage. If you do, before your roll, you gain temporary hit points equal to your level in this class. Once you have used this ability, you cannot do so again until you have taken a short or long rest.
Titanic Channeling
At 6th level, you gain the ability to call forth even more of your titan’s power. You learn the fireball spell, which doesn’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known and may cast it at 3rd level by expending 3 sorcery points. If you have already learned fireball, then this feature replaces it and you may learn a new spell.
Additionally, you have learned to imbue your spells with your titan’s irresistible power. When you cast a spell of 1st level or higher, you may expend 2 sorcery points to change the spell’s damage type to force damage. When you do so, a portion of your titan’s power cloaks you, you may gain resistance to one of your titan’s damage types for 1 minute. You may only be resistant to one of these damage types at a time.
Visiting Hour
Starting at 14th level, you gain the ability to enter the physical manifestation of your soul and meet with the titan that has been bound to you. You decide how the room looks and how the titan’s bindings manifest. For instance, your soul room may take the form of a simple misty lake, or a particularly special place from your past. The bindings of the titan may be as simple or as complicated as you desire. For instance, the bindings may range from elegant red ribbons to the literal manifestation of a set of teachings or beliefs.
As an action, your consciousness may enter your soul and converse with the titan that lies within it. The titan is an NPC, and is under no obligation to return conversation, nor is it required to answer truthfully to any questions you may present. The DM will decide what, if any, information the titan has regarding a subject. However, you may expend 1 sorcery point to force the titan to speak with you or answer one question truthfully. You may expend up to 3 sorcery points in this way. After you expend the third sorcery point in this way, you are forcibly shunted from the titan’s presence and may not enter your soul for 1d6 days. After this period, you may once again enter your soul, and may once again expend sorcery points in this manner.
Avatar of the Bound One
At 18th level, you can pull the full power of your titan from your soul, all but releasing the ancient creature. When you do this, you take on an appearance befitting your titan, which you choose. For example, your titan may manifest as a creature of pure darkness, only contrasted by a stark white mask, or perhaps a monster with many tails from ages long gone by, or perhaps you may become a giant dragon-like creature and unleash destruction on your foes, or you may become a beautiful angelic creature beyond comprehension.
Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 1 minute, you gain the following benefits:
- While transformed, your size becomes Huge, you gain temporary hitpoints equal to your level in this class times 10, and your Strength score becomes 25.
- If you use your Desperate Savior feature while transformed, the temporary hitpoints that it provides are added to any temporary hitpoints gained by this feature.
- Your type changes from humanoid to the type that corresponds to the language of your titan, according to the table below.
- While transformed, you cannot cast spells, except for the fireball spell given to you by your Titanic Blast feature.
- While transformed, your unarmed melee attacks deal 2d10 damage (according to one of your titan’s damage types) + 2d10 force damage.
- When you take the Attack action to make an unarmed melee attack while transformed, you may an additional unarmed melee attack in the same action.
- Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.

Posted Jun 7, 2020The Time Has Come! A New Titan Awakens!
Hello all! A fresh update for the Bound Titan. Now you can enjoy having a giant trapped in your soul as well! Plus! Titanic Blast has been renamed “Titanic Channeling” and received a new effect. I elected to leave Visiting Hour as it is due to the fact that its essentially a 5th level spell, with a few caveats. Furthermore, its power seems in line with the rest of the sorcerer subclasses.
With the Giant titan, you’ll note that there is a Pick One option. That means that, unlike the rest, you actually get to pick which of those damage types is permanently assigned to your titan. I wanted to make its titan form different from the Primordial, who has access to all three primary elemental types at once.
