Monk
Base Class: Monk

The monastic tradition of the Veiled Warrior is a tradition dedicated to the senses. This tradition consists of blind monks who train to understand the world through the flow of ki in order to see things for what they really are instead of the deceptive reality presented by our eyes. As such their perception relies on senses other than sight, as well as on their ability to perceive and understand the ki around them.

A monk following this tradition often has strong feelings towards ill willed lies and deceit, and will often do his best to uncover such untruth.

Prerequisite: Blind Since Birth (optional level 1 feat) or similar blind condition.

The Sound of the World

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, your Blindsight ability is increased by 20 feet. Moreover, your Blindsense radius is extended by 30 feet. Additionally, you become immune to the Blinded condition.

Insightful Soul

From your 3rd level, your heightened senses make you receptive to subtle changes around you. You gain advantage on Insight checks within your Blindsight radius. You also gain the ability to decipher an opponent’s tactics and develop a counter to them. As a bonus action, you can make a Wisdom (Insight) check against a creature within your Blindsight radius that isn’t incapacitated, contested by the target’s Charisma (Deception) check. If you succeed, you gain advantage on your attacks against the creature until the start of your next turn.

Heart Sight

At 6th level, your ki-enhanced perception now allows you to pick up nuances of the ki in creatures around you. Using an action, you can spend 1 ki point to focus on a creature within your Blindsight radius and discern the creature's current emotional state. If the target fails a Charisma saving throw against your ki save DC, you also know the creature's alignment. Celestials, fiends, and undead automatically fail the saving throw.

Additionally, you can no longer be surprised by creatures within your Blindsense radius as long as you are conscious, and you become proficient in the Perception skill within your Blindsight radius. If you are already proficient in this skill, your proficiency bonus is doubled.

Mind over Matter

When you reach your 11th level, your training has effectively strengthened your mind. You become immune to spells and effects from Illusion school magic, and you can add your Wisdom bonus as an additional bonus to all attack rolls against targets within your Blindsight radius.

Sixth Sense

At your 17th level, you have learned to truly harness your Blindsight against the world around you. You gain +2 Wisdom (your Wisdom maximum increases by the same amount). Moreover, you can as a reaction spend 4 ki points to completely negate a single weapon attack before damage is rolled.
