Most Shadowblades cannot sleep at night and avoid the light. The entity always urging them deeper and deeper into the Shadowfell to possibly become a shade as the netherese once had.

Shadow Expanded Spell list

The Shadow lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

1st     Zepher Strike / Shield

2nd    Darkvision / Phantasmal Force

3rd     Blink  /  Haste

4th     Staggering Smite /  Phantasmal Killer

5th     Steel Wind Strike /  Destructive Wave

Shadow Weapon

You use your control over the shadows to manifest a weapon that lacks the two-handed property of your choice (1D6 psychic damage). You are proficient with the weapon.

This weapon is unable to be forcibly removed from you. You may dismiss the weapon into a pocket of shadow and manifest the weapon again as a bonus action.

When you attack with that weapon, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. If you later gain the Pact of the Blade feature, this benefit extends to every pact weapon you conjure with that feature, no matter the weapon’s type, damage done from the pact weapon is Psychic.

Shadow Step

Shadows have become your haven you find yourself able to move through them freely

From 6th level, when you are in dim light or darkness, you can use your bonus action to teleport to an unoccupied space you can see that is also in dim light or darkness within 60 feet of you. You then have advantage on your first attack you make before the end of the turn.

Shadow Puppeteer

You have gained enough control over the shadows to now manipulate your opponents shadow while fighting.

You may use an action to take control of your opponents shadow for one minute. You can cause the shadow of your opponent as a bonus action to do one of the following.  If the shadow has 1 hit point an AC of 12 and immunity to all damage excluding radiant damage. If the target moves to a point where the shadow is covered in light it will dissapate after 1 round.

  • The shadow will distract the target causing them to have disadvantage on the next attack the target makes
  • The shadow can cover the targets eyes causing the next attack to have advantage against it.
  • The shadow can attack the opponent using any weapons or objects they are holding. (roll is made using your charisma modifier and proficiency) The damage is 1D8 psychic damage.
  • The shadow can detatch from the target and move to a location within 30ft
  • The shadow can attempt to grapple the target. The target must pass a DC strength saving throw against your spell saving DC or be grappled until the warlock issues another command. The target may make a saving throw at the end of each of its turns.

You may use this feature a number of times equal to your charisma modifier, per short rest.

The Perfect Blade

You have learned to control your shadow weapon to perfection and find concentrating on the spell has become like breathing to you. You learn the Shadow Blade spell, and it doesn't count against your total number of spells known.

When you cast this spell the resulting weapon is formed out of your pact blade, allowing you to use the spell's shadow blade through it. You can make use of all the bonuses and advantages of using your pact blade while wielding the Shadow Blade.

You may cast Shadowblade as a 5th level spell without expending a pact slot once per short rest.

When shadowblade is in use you may cast a second concentration spell without breaking concentration on shadowblade. If you take damage and are forced to make a concentration check you must roll for both spells seperately.

The first hit with shadowblade per turn the target must make a  Wisdom save vs your spell save DC or become afraid of the shadows an must use there movement to flee twards the nearest light source known to them. If there is no light source within line of sight. The target will take an additional 1d6 of psychic damage at the end of every turn, If they are in shadows /darkness. This effect will continue until the target can visably see a light source within 60ft.

You have advantage on your saving throws for maintaining Shadowblade.
