Base Class: Wizard
Wizards of the School of Spellskin use their own skin as an extension to their spellbooks. While they have spellbooks already, putting certain magics on their skin help them in various different ways.
Restriction: You must have skin.
Art of Skin:
Starting at 2nd level, you gain the ability to amply tattoo yourself. You gain proficiency in the Calligrapher's supplies and the painter's supplies.
Additionally, spells that you put on your skin cost and take half as much as normal for time and cost.
Skin Spellcasting:
As a wizard, you already have a spellbook. You can however choose to put new spells, or previous ones, onto your skin. In order to cast spells that are on your skin, you cannot be wearing armor.
There are a certain number of spells that one can put on their body. The benefit of your art of skin will affect any spell placed on your skin.
The space needed for a spell placed on the skin is the same as UA's spell tattoos chart found on page 8 of spell tattoos.
A large creature gains one additional common slot and a small looses that much.
Common Up to 6 inches - 1st level spell
Uncommon Half a limb or the scalp - 2nd level spell
Rare One limb - 3rd level spell
Very Rare Two limbs or the chest or upper back - 4th level spell
Legendary Two limbs and the torso - 5th level spell
By this chart, one could fit up to 12 1st level spells, or 1 5th and a 4th.
Spellskin Endurance:
Your skin will try to reform itself when necessary in order to maintain the spells that you have written on it. Starting at 6th level, as long as you are below, or at, half hit points (or bloodied), you regain a number of hit points equal to your level x your constitution modifier, to a maximum of your max HP.
You can use this trait a number of times equal to your Constitution modifier.
Defensive Skin
Starting at 10th level, you gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage caused by non-magical attacks.
Increased Endurance
Starting at 14th level, you can add your Int modifier to the number of times that you can use the Spellskin Endurance ability.
