Base Class: Bard
Dancing has existed since before recorded history. As a Dancer, you have used your bardic training to combine the arcane magics of your music with your study of movement. Every stride of movement becomes infused with the magical energy of the arcane. Without the confines of heavy equipment, Dancers can bob and weave through their opponents attacks while intertwining their magical prowess through their entire bodies.
From gaining a pseudo-ability of Unarmored Movement to casting spells through movement, Dancers are the epitome of a somatic caster and have full control of their bodies. Weaving magic and mobility, Dancers cast through moving their bodies and expending their movement.
Credit to user Yand3r3 for the inspiration to create this.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you join the College of Mythical Movement, you gain proficiency with rolls that rely on movement of the full body (Dexterity Rolls) and Finesse weapons (such as a whip).
Dance of the Dexterous
As a dancer at level 3, you are able to use your training to move and weave around attacks. You must not be wearing any armor, carry no shield, and not wield any 2 handed weapons for this to affect your AC. As such, you can now use your Dexterity mod instead of Strength mod for Unarmed Strikes. And your armor class is calculated as 12 + Dexterity modifier.
In addition, you can now get up from a prone position as a free action using only 5' of your movement.
Subtle Spellcasting
Once you choose this college at level 3, you now use dance as a somatic component in place of any verbal prerequisite for your spells as long as you have room to move (i.e. Not grappled or restrained). Casting spells in this way is combined with your movement. You must expend at least 5 feet for each level of the spell being cast. You may decide to not move from your current position, but must still expend your movement as you dance in place. The spell takes effect at the end of your movement. You still must expend spell slots to cast spells.
Being silenced does not affect your spellcasting, however being restrained can. You can still use vocal components and cast as normal for any bard if you wish, but only for spells of level 1 or 2, as you become more familiar with arcane studies, your spell casting becomes primarily focused on your dancing. You must not be wearing any armor or wielding any shield or 2-handed weapons while spell-dancing.
At higher levels, the amount of movement used to power your spells is reduced. At level 6, the movement needed is 2.5 feet per spell level.
Resting Repose
At level 3, you can use a cooldown technique (such as stretching or yoga) in place of a normal bard's singing for your Song of Rest ability.
This ability can also be used in tandem with another Bard's Song of Rest to add an additional (dice of scaling bonus heal per level).
Agile Acrobatics
At level 6, you have become more proficient with your dancer's defense. As a reaction, you may now add a +2 bonus to your AC as long as you have at least 5 feet of movement available to spend at the end of your turn.
Additionally, you may take the Dash action as a bonus action at the cost of a Bardic Inspiration Die.
Subtle Spellcasting: The movement needed is now per spell level is 2.5 feet.
Master’s Flourish
At 14th level, Using your Action and half your Movement, you put on the show of a lifetime! In similar aspects of the “Magical Secrets” ability the use of this ability is to duplicate any other spell of which you can cast (Maximum of 8th level). You don't need to meet any requirements in that spell, including costly components. The spell simply takes effect. Only usable once a day.
Additionally, You gain 10ft of movement.
