Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

The Swamp is home to multitude creatures and those who make their home in the swamp have done so by adapting to its harsh environment. The Swamp Warrior has spent their days and nights in the muck and mire of the swamp and have grown to understand and appreciate the power of mud. The Swamp Warrior is able to harness this power to destroy those unwary of the mystic ways of the swamp and its inhabitants.

Raging Muck

Starting at the 3rd level, when you enter a rage the ground around you becomes mud and muck much like that you are used to.

When you enter a rage you summon the muck of the swamp in a 10ft radius circle around you. The area becomes difficult terrain and a creature that starts its turn in the circle must make a strength saving throw or it will sink into the mud and become restrained. At the beginning of its next turn the creature can attempt the strength save again to escape its muddy restraints. While in a rage you ignore this difficult terrain and the muck disappears after you exit your rage. The circle of mud does not move with you.

The radius of your mud increases to 15 feet at the 6th level, 20 feet at the 10th level, and 25 feet at the 14th level.

Swamp Rot

Starting at the 6th level your mud becomes imbued with the sickening rot of the swamp.

When a creature is restrained by your mud any physical damage dealt to them does an extra 1d6 necrotic damage. At the 10th level this damage becomes 2d6, 3d6 at the 14th, and 4d6 at the 17th level.

Exhausting Mud Trap

Starting at the 10th level your mud begins to function as a trap for those unwary enough to be stuck in it.

As a bonus action you can induce your mud to suck further down, forcing an additional strength save for any creature caught in the mud. With each successive failed save the creature gains a level of exhaustion.

Corrosive Mud

Starting at the 14th level your mud becomes corrosive to the touch.

A creature that ends its turn in the mud, whether they are restrained or not, must succeed on a DC15 constitution saving throw or they take 2d4 acid damage.
