Base Class: Wizard
To understand where the Material Plane came from and the various extraplanar creatures that can inhabit it, students of Cosmos Magic look to the stars above and the other planes of existence for knowledge. Drawing on inspiration from the cosmos in their spells and abilities, Cosmos Magic practitioners use their knowledge to predict near future events, combat extraplanar creatures, and read the very universe itself.
Studies Beyond
At 2nd level, you specialize in studying celestial bodies and the different planes of existence. When making an Intelligence check regarding subjects outside of the Material Plane, you may double your proficiency bonus.
Magical Orrery
Starting at 2nd level, you can conjure forth a magical device used to track both celestial bodies as well as the planes of existence. As an action, you can summon an incorporeal orrery to a point you can see within 60 feet of you. The orrery creates an aura in a 30-foot radius around that point. It counts as neither a creature nor an object, though it has the spectral appearance of an orrery.
As a bonus action, you can move the incorporeal device up to 60 feet to a point you can see.
The orrery persists for 1 minute or until you're incapacitated. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
When you conjure your orrery, choose either aberrations, celestials, elementals, fey, or fiends. You have advantage on any spell attack roll made against any creatures of the type in the aura, and any creature in the aura has disadvantage on saving throws against your spells.
Predictive Research
Starting at 6th level, your tracking of the stars and other planes of existence allow you to predict certain events in the Material Plane. You can use your reaction to give advantage or disadvantage to any attack roll, ability check, or saving throw of a creature in the aura of your Magical Orrery feature. You must do this before the initial dice roll is made. You must complete a short or long rest before you can use this feature again.
Essence Negation
Beginning at 10th level, your research into beings from beyond your world gives you insight into how to strike similar vulnerabilities. As a bonus action, you may negate one resistance of the following damage types in the aura from your Magical Orrery feature until the end of your next turn: cold, fire, lightning, necrotic, psychic, radiant, or thunder. You may do this to a number of creatures equal to your Intelligence modifier (minimum of one). Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Mastery of Readings
Starting at 14th level, you are able to track multiple celestial bodies and the other planes of existence with ease. You may choose a second creature type from your Magical Orrery feature. You also gain the ability to cast the Plane Shift spell. This spell does not count for your spells known.
