Bard
Base Class: Bard

There are times when a person is so unique that they can’t help but change the world around them. Some lead nations, some become masters of their craft. Some become tricksters.

Tricksters have been prevalent throughout history. There will always be people going against the system, standing up for those who can’t stand up for themselves.

Almaria Wormwood has defined her life by this. Despite her mistakes, she uses her creativity and talent for magic to make a difference, whether helping those who need it or simply pranking an uptight authority figure.

Amphibious Inspiration

When you join the College of the Amphibian at level three, you can summon a small frog that sits on an ally’s shoulder when they gain Bardic Inspiration. This frog assists them with special skills.

Hopping Skills. When an ally rolls their inspiration die to assist on a Saving Throw, the frog imbues the creature with the speed and grace of an amphibian. The ally gains advantage on all Saving Throws.

Poison Dart. When an ally rolls their inspiration die on an attack roll, the frog assists them in their fight. The frog opens their mouth and swats the enemy with it’s tongue, poisoning the creature. The creature subjected to this poison must make a DC 12 Constitution Saving Throw or be subjected to 1d8 and is Poisoned for 24 hours. On a successful save, the creature takes half the damage and isn’t poisoned.

Moral Support. When an ally rolls their inspiration die on an ability check, the frog gives silent support. The ally can expend the note to roll the Bardic Inspiration die again and choose which roll to use.

Mischief Maker

Starting at third level, you may use your love of trickery and innate camouflage to assist you in difficult situations.

You can summon a mirror image of yourself or another creature that appears in an unoccupied space within thirty feet of you. The illusion lasts for one minute or until concentration is broken. You can cast spells as if you were in the illusion’s space, but you must use your own senses. As a bonus action every turn, you can move the illusion thirty feet as if it were moving, but it must stay in your line of sight.

Additionally, when the illusion is cast, the caster uses the natural camouflage of a frog to appear as invisible. This lasts for one minute (ten rounds.)

Once you use this, you can not use it again until you complete a long rest.

Making Friends

Your mastery over the mischief allows you to magically bring items to life. As an action, you can target a Large or smaller nonmagical item you can see within 30 feet of you and animate it. The animate item uses the Dancing Item stat block and is under your control for 1 hour or until it is reduced to 0 hit points.

In combat, the item shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. It can move and use its reaction on its own, but the only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take one of the actions in its stat block or the Dash, Disengage, Help, Hide, or Search action.

When you use your Bardic Inspiration feature, you can command which action your animated item takes as part of the same bonus action.

Once you animate an item with this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest or until you expend a spell slot of 3rd level or higher to use this feature. You can have only one item animated by this feature at a time; if you use this action and already have a dancing item from this feature, the first one immediately becomes inanimate.

Charming Trick

At 14th level, you may pull a prank on an enemy. After doing so, it must succeed on a Charisma Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC.

On a failed saving throw, the target is charmed by you for the next 8 hours or until you or your allies attack it, damage it, or force it to make a saving throw.

The charmed creature obeys your commands. It won’t risk its life for you or fight for you, unless it was already inclined to do so. It grants you favors and gifts it would offer to a close friend.
