Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Echoes is the home to bards who focus on the awe and potential of reverberation, or echoes. Usually instructed in great halls, where sounds can bounce off the walls with ease, these bards are taught to stay quiet where they can, contrary to most other bards, and concentrate on the sounds and vibrations around them.

Bards of this college who decide to pursue a musical career often graduate to become conductors, while the lesser members of the college become backing musicians, using their ability to sense echoes to weave together their group’s performances. But those who follow careers outside of travelling minstrel or court performer often enter into politics, working as advisors or aides to manipulate events to further their own ambitions.

Resounding Self

When you join the College of Echoes at 3rd Level, you can create an amalgamation of sound in your image.

As an action, you create a transparent, shimmering duplicate of yourself that appears in an unoccupied space that you can see within 30 feet of you. As a bonus action on your turn, you can move this duplicate up to 30 feet to a space you can see, but it must remain within 60 feet of you. For the duration, you can cast spells and grant bardic inspirations as though you were in the duplicate’s space, but the duplicate does not extend your own senses.

Additionally, as an action, you can see through the duplicates' eyes and hear what it hears. During this time, you are deaf and blind concerning your own senses. The duplicate lasts for 1 minute, has an AC of 10 and is dispelled if it takes any damage or if you dispel it using a bonus action. Once you use this ability, you cannot do so again until you finish a short or long rest.

Once you reach 6th level, your duplicate becomes immune to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage from nonmagical attacks.

Voice of Recall

Starting at 3rd Level, you can mimic and repeat the words of other creatures without their knowledge.

As an action, you can choose a creature you can see within 60 feet of you. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. No matter if the creature succeeds or fails they do not know that you have used this ability. On a fail, you can mimic any phrase that creature says for 1 hour, as long as it’s on the same plane of existence as you and isn't incapacitated. You can only mimic a phrase the creature has said during the hour this ability is active. You can use this ability twice, and regain all uses after a short or long rest.

Reverberation Surge

When you reach 6th level you can, as an action, cause your Resounding Self duplicate to explode in a surge of thunderous sound. All creatures within 20 feet of the duplicate must succeed on a Constitution saving throw or take thunder damage equal to a number of d6 equal to half your bard level, or half as much on a success. Your duplicate is dispelled after this takes effect.

Mystic Echoes

When you reach 14th Level, you gain the ability to cause your actions to echo and rebound.

As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your bardic inspiration to cause your actions to repeat. At the end of the round, your previous action is repeated regardless of anything else that occurs during the round, targeting the same creature (if it is still alive) or space (if it is an area effect). If the repeated action involves any attack rolls, then those rolls are made with disadvantage. If the repeated action requires its targets make a saving throw, then the saving throw is made with advantage. Any damage dealt by a repeated action is halved. If you have the Extra Attack class feature, your repeated action gains its effects. You do not lose any spell slots by echoing a spell, but you cannot echo a spell of 7th level or higher. You can only echo actions that do not come from your class or racial abilities, and can only echo spells that deal damage.
