School of Weaving

Magic is an ever-changing science. New spells are always being created, altered, and forgotten. Those from this school intend to break the mold of the magic to find new discoveries, be it for the betterment of all wizards or to simply help you in a pinch. From breaking down spells into their precise necessities, you can rebuild them to work at the most unlikely times. 

Crafty Components

If you do not have the correct material components, your knowledge can fill in the blanks. 

When needing a missing material component to cast a spell, you can gather materials that have a logical connection to the needed component.
Then make an Arcana check, with the DC equalling 10 + Spell level. 
On a success, you can use the hobbled together magical components to cast the spell. 

If the material components have a necessary value, the new component needs to have at least half the value. 

Spell Switcher

Your understanding of the intricacies of magic allows you to be faster at preparing spells. 

You can now change out your prepared spells every short rest, as well as long rest.

Arcane Inspiration

Watching others cast spells can grant you a sudden burst of inspiration.

If you have line of sight on a creature when it casts a spell, and you have spell slots at the spell's base level, you can use your reaction to make an Arcana check, with the DC equal to 10 + the spell level. 
On success, you prepare the spell for memorization. Until you use this feature again, you can copy this spell into your spellbook.

You can only use this feature once per long rest.

If a feature or spell is used to create the effects of another spell, you learn the spell that it simulates the effects of. (eg. using it on someone casting wish for a lower spell doesn't give you wish.)

Backlog Weaving

In the heat of the moment, other spells you haven't committed to memory can bubble up to the surface.
You gain a memory charge, and the number of charges equal your INT modifier. 

By expending a charge, you can cast a spell you know, but do not have prepared. You still needs the proper spell slot and components to cast the spell.

All charges reset on a long rest.

Weaving Wish

Your understanding of the Weave can help you perform great feats in the arcane. 

By spending a 7th level spell slot, you can cast any spell of 6th level an under, without the need for knowing or preparing the spell, or material components.
