Bard
Base Class: Bard

The College of Winters is the home of bards who mastered their craft in Valencia underneath the guidance of the House of Winters. These bards use their magic to manifest their sorrow into an art form.

Song of Snow

When you join the College of Winter at 3rd level, you gain the ability to weave a song of otherworldly magic.

As a bonus action, you can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to charge the air around you with chaotic magic. Whenever a character within 20ft of you casts a spell, roll a d6 on the table below. The rolled effect then manifests. This effect lasts for 1 minute.

  1. The spell is counter spelled and transformed into harmless snow.
  2. The caster takes 1d6 cold damage as the air freezes around them.
  3. The ground within the Song of Snow's range is covered in 1ft of snow. This counts as difficult terrain.
  4. The caster makes a DC 15 DEX save. On a failure, they are knocked prone as they slip on ice that forms below their feet. This effect does not effect creatures of size Huge or larger.
  5. The area of influence of the Song of Snow increases by 10ft in radius.
  6. You heal 1d4 health as the snow mends your wounds.

Ode to Sorrow

At 3rd level, you learn to infuse your soul into the songs you preform.

If you preform with your instrument for at least one minute, you may spend a Bardic Inspiration. If you do, all creatures that can hear the song must make a WIS saving throw, the DC of which is equal to your spell casting modifier. On a failed save, the creature is charmed by you and moved to tears. On a successful save, the creature takes 1d4 psychic damage.

Poet of Grief

At 6th level, you gain insight into those moved by your performances. You can recall any information told to you by charmed creatures within the last 30 days.

Heart of Frost

Starting at 14th level, you become a more convincing actor. You do not have to make a performance or deception check to feign an emotion.
