Base Class: Ranger
Legends tell of beings clad in wood that stalk the most ancient forests. Tales of beings of sandstone that walk the deserts. Stories of creatures made of rock that scale the mountains. These are Gaia Knights; warriors who have been gifted nature's greatest protection, itself. Some Gaia Knights come from ancient orders charged with defending sacred land. Others have been rewarded by nature itself by performing great deeds in its defense. Some have even traveled every corner of the world and uncovered the secrets of natures boons. Regardless of how they come to be, their purpose is to protect.
Gaia Knight Magic
You learn an additional spell when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown in the Gaia Knight Spells table. The spell counts as a ranger spell for you, but it doesn't count against the number of ranger spells you know.

Gaia Armor
At the 3rd level, as an action, you can invoke ancient natural rites and don a special type of armor called Gaia Armor. This armor comes up from the ground and clads you in the environment around you. The armor lasts for 1 hour or until you lose all of the temporary hit points you gained from it. While you are wearing the Gaia Armor, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a number of temporary hit points equal to 4 times your Wisdom modifier plus 1/2 of your Ranger level (rounded down)
- You may add your proficiency bonus to your Armor Class
You can don your Gaia Armor a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier per long rest.
Additionally, due to your extended training with Gaia Armor, you gain proficiency with heavy armor.
Stand Your Ground
The earth bolsters you and your allies. At the 7th level, you cannot be knocked prone and cannot have your walking speed reduced while you are wearing your Gaia Armor.
Additionally, whenever you don your Gaia Armor, all friendly creatures within 15 ft. of you gain temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1).
Nature's Wrath
You've learned to use the forces of nature that fuel your protective armor into a damaging burst. At the 11th level, as a bonus action, lose half of your current temporary hit points (rounded down). All creatures within a 10 ft. radius must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, the creatures take damage equal to the amount of temporary hit points lost and fall prone. On a successful save, the creatures take half damage and do not get knocked prone.
The 10 ft. radius around you becomes rough terrain.
Additionally, any friendly creatures that have temporary hit points granted to them by Stand Your Ground do not get their speed reduced by this rough terrain.
Force of Nature
You become the ultimate avatar of nature, withstanding the mightiest of blows and striking with the strength of nature itself. At the 15th level, your Gaia Armor now lasts until you lose all of the temporary hit points it grants. While you are wearing your Gaia Armor, you have resistance to all bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage.
Additionally, once per turn, you may add 1d12 force damage to a weapon attack you make while wearing your Gaia Armor.
