Blood Hunter
Base Class: Blood Hunter

Blood Hunters of the Sanguine Storm have a particularly violent life-blood, which when appropriately agitated can strike out at foes. Able to manipulate blood drawn from their wounds into blades that are hurled at enemies, with more powerful Hunters in the Order able to pull blood from others to achieve the same effect.

Sanguine Blades

When you join this order at 3rd level, you gain the ability to launch blades of blood at your enemies.

While you have a rite active, when you take slashing, piercing, or bludgeoning damage, you can use your reaction to launch a blade of blood at a target within 30 feet of you. You must make an attack roll to hit with a blade. Intelligence is your modifier for this attack and you are considered proficient with this attack. This blade deals damage of a die and type which is the same as your active rite.

You gain more ways to create blades of blood at 7th, 11th, and 18th level. Multiple blades can be created in one activation by using multiple sources. A source can not create more than 1 blade per activation.

Blood Harpoon

Beginning at 3rd level, you gain the ability to launch a harpoon of blood at your foes.

When you activate your rite, you can choose to propel a harpoon at a target within 30 feet of you. The target makes a Dexterity saving throw versus your save DC. On a failure, the harpoon hits, dealing the maximum damage of one Hemocraft die, and pulling the target up to 30 feet closer to you.

Sanguine Brand

Upon reaching 7th level, you gain the ability to pull additional blades from a creature affected by your Brand of Castigation.

When your Brand of Castigation is applied to a creature, using your reaction to throw a blade of blood at a target also pulls a blade from the subject of your brand. The branded creature takes necrotic damage equal to your Intelligence modifier when a blade is pulled from it. The branded creature must be within 30 feet of you, and have blood, to be able to pull a blade from it, and the creature can not be the target of its own blade.

Sanguine Curses

Beginning at 11th level, you gain the ability to pull even more blades from creatures affected by your Blood Curses.

When one of your Blood Curses is applied to a creature, using your reaction to throw a blade of blood at a target also pulls a blade from the cursed creature. The cursed creature takes necrotic damage equal to your Intelligence modifier when a blade is pulled from it. The cursed creature must be within 30 feet of you, and have blood, to be able to pull a blade from it, and the creature can not be the target of its own blade.

Blood Curse of the Hungering Blades

At 15th level, your control over your blood has reached such a level that you can force a creature to suffer much greater punishment from your blades of blood. You gain the Blood Curse of the Hungering Blades for your Blood Maledict feature. This doesn’t count against your number of blood curses known.

Sanguine Rite

Upon reaching 18th level, you gain the ability to pull blades from all available sources, now including any creatures damaged by your crimson rite since its activation.

In addition, your blades of blood can target their source creature.
