Base Class: Fighter
All your memories, as far back as you can remember, your life only focused upon one thing. Even as a young child, play time only involved battle, warfare, and weapon training. You are warrior bred. For as long as you can remember, war has been life. Every aspect of your life, every detail of every day, was meant to turn you into a weapon. You have been raised as a soldier, and you want nothing else in life but to defend those who count on you. Honor, glory, fame, these only lead to unfulfilled disappointment. To die knowing that you gave your life to a worthy cause, that is the only glory that you would hope for in life. Your shield, your spear, and your short sword, these are the only possessions you crave. "Bring your shield home, or be carried home upon it."
Hoplite
Beginning when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20.
Spear and Shield Master
Starting at 7th level, your discipline with your spear and shield has developed into a much deadlier combination. While you are wielding your spear, other creatures provoke an opportunity attack from you when they enter your reach. If you take the attack action on your turn, you can use a bonus action to try to shove a creature within 5 feet of you with your shield. That enemy is pushed back five feet, and if that enemy fails a strength check against your strength check, they will fall prone.
Shield Wall
Starting at 10th level, when a creature you can see attacks an ally that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to impose disadvantage on the attack roll. If both you and your ally are using shields, each of your armor class values receives a +1 bonus, in addition to whatever your current values may be, while you are both within 5 feet of each other.
Deadly Spear
Starting at 15th level, your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 17–20 if you are using a spear.
This is Sparta
At 18th level, you attain the pinnacle of resilience in battle. At the start of each of your turns, you regain hit points equal to 6 + your Constitution modifier if you have no more than half of your hit points left. You don’t gain this benefit if you have 0 hit points.
