Ranger
Base Class: Ranger

These people can manipulate the powers of time to change timelines, see the memories of other people, and see into the near and distant future.

Future Sight

Starting at 3rd level, as a result of your limited knowledge of the future, you can add your wisdom modifier to your initiative.

Temporal Echo

Using an action, you touch a conscious creature and enter a trance like state to see into their past, reliving one of their memories as though it was your own. You are vaguely aware of your surroundings while in this state and breaking contact with the creature pulls you back to reality.

The memory you enter is determined by whatever memory the creature is focused on. You move through the memory in a dream like fashion, only experiencing moments the creature felt held significance. Faces appear hazy and unfocused, while voices sound distant and reverberant.

The creature can use it's action to make a History check contested by your Intelligence check; if the creature succeeds, this effect ends. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier. You gain all uses after a short or long rest.

Double Image

During your turn, you can create two possible timelines and make them happen in yours.

If you target a creature with a melee or spell attack that targets one creature, you can use Double Image to target another enemy within your movement speed (or within the spell's target area if it is a ranged spell). If you do this, you can choose which target you are engaged with at the end of your turn.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier.

Dead Time

Using a bonus action, you may focus your abilities and transport yourself to a Dead Timeline, a reality in which some great catastrophe has left the world devoid of life for centuries.

You remain in the Dead Timeline for 8 hours or until you drop concentration on the ability. You can see and hear the timeline you originated from, but everything there appears as blue shimmering echoes and you can't see anything more than 60 feet away.

While in the Dead Timeline, you can only affect and be affected by other creatures from that timeline. Creatures that aren't in the Dead Timeline can't perceive you and can't interact with you, unless a specific ability or magic has given them the ability to do so.

You ignore all objects and effects that aren't in the Dead Timeline. This includes most buildings and mad man made structures which have long since decayed, allowing you to move through objects you perceive on the timeline you originated from.

When this ability ends, you immediately return to the timeline you originated from in the spot you currently occupy. If you occupy the same spot as a solid object or creature when this happens, you are immediately shunted to the nearest unoccupied space that you can occupy and take force damage equal to 5 × the number of feet you are moved.

Cut Time

At 15th level, as a reaction, you can erase a turn of any creature in combat. However, this scar to time is a scar to you. If you use this ability more than once per long rest, take 3d10+12 necrotic damage, and increase the die count by 1 each time. (4d10, 5d10, etc.) If this damage reduces you to 0 Hit Points, you turn to dust and die instantly, you cannot be brought back by any means of resurrection other than True Resurrection or Wish. (If used on a creature casting a spell, the spell is not cast and the slot used to cast it is wasted.)
