Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Most barbarians cannot cast magic whilst enraged, the primal behaviour overriding their rational thought. The weave tearer is different however. When they rage, they enter a state of natural instinct where the casting of their magic becomes second nature. It is almost as though the barbarian is tearing through the weave and ripping magic from it.

These battle hardened warriors tend to rip the most destructive magic from the weave however, as this primal state is normally achieved either in battle, or from highly stressful or dangerous situations. As such, the magic of the weave tearers tends to be less subtle than other more traditional forms of casting.

Spellcasting

At 3rd level, when you take this subclass, something changes within you, changing the rage from within into a form of learned reflex allowing you to tear magic from the weave instinctually, allowing you to fully concentrate on the fight.

Cantrips

You learn two cantrips of your choice from the druid spell list. You learn another druid cantrip of your choice at 10th level.

Spell Slots

To cast one of these levelled spells, you must expend a slot of the spell's level or higher. You regain all expended spell slots when you finish a long rest.

For example, if you know the 1st-level spell Charm Person and have a 1st-level and a 2nd-level spell slot available, you can cast Charm Person using either slot.

Spells Known of 1st Level and Higher

You know three 1st-level druid spells of your choice, two of which you must choose from the evocation spells on the druid spell list.

Whenever you gain a level in this class, you can replace one of the druid spells you know with another spell of your choice from the druid spell list. The new spell must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

Spellcasting Ability

Charisma is your spellcasting ability for your druid spells, since you harness your magic through sheer instinct and force of will. You use your charisma whenever a spell refers to your spellcasting ability. In addition, you use your charisma modifier when setting the saving throw DC for a druid spell you cast and when making an attack roll with one.

Spell save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your charisma modifier

Spell attack modifier = your proficiency bonus + your charisma modifier.

Magical Instinct

At level 3, when you take this subclass, your rage becomes instead an instinctual focus, which gives you the capability of casting spells during a rage. However, as you are focused on your enemy, you can only cast evocation spells whilst in this state, and cannot concentrate on them. Attacking an opponent with a spell will also ensure that your rage continues to the next round.

Wrathful Barrier

Starting at 6th level, you become instinctually aware of when the presence of magic becomes most corporeal when it manifests in the material plane, and can plan your next move around it.

Once per short rest, you can increase your A/C after casting a spell. The A/C increases by a number equal to the level of the spell slot you consume.

Intense Focus

At level 10, your focus during combat becomes so great that you can think clearly whilst your body acts on pure instinct alone. You can concentrate on spells whilst raging. You may also choose one more school of magic to be able to use whilst raging. You may change that school of magic every long rest.

Winds Of Change

At level 14 your understanding of the flow of magic throughout the world becomes unparalleled. Once per long rest, you can use your reaction to force a re-roll on any one die roll.
