Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

You are Shadow Touched. You have seen the Shadowfell and a piece of it has taken up residence within you. Your accidental trip has left you shaken but not cold. There is a weird comfort as you step into the darker parts of a room.

What has become of you? What events led to your visit to the Shadowfell? What entity crushed your soul and is at the front of your mind whenever you think back to the Shadow fell? These are some questions to ask yourself to help flesh out your backstory.

Cloak of Shadow

Your visit to the Shadowfell has changed your form in the presence of darkness, making it join as part of the shadows themselves.

At level 3, While standing in dim light or darkness, as a bonus action, you may choose to become invisible for 1 minute.

Blade of the Fell

There is a dark shadow clinging to every attack you make, piercing into your victims bodies and weakening them.

At 3rd level, Once per turn, you may add 1d6 necrotic damage to a weapon attack. This must be activated before an attack is declared as a hit or miss. On a hit, the enemy cannot regain hit points until the start of your next turn.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Int modifier. You regain all uses on a long rest.

One of the Shadow

At 9th level, You have seen the connections between your victims and their shadows and learned how to control that connection.

As you enter a shadow you may decide to become one with it. This shadow can be from an object or a creature. If you do, as part of your movement, you may move to another shadow within 30 ft of the shadow you are currently in.

If you teleport into a creature's shadow, you can decide to fight for control of the hosts body. As an action, make a contested grapple check but add your Int modifier to your result.

If you win, the grappled creature gains the paralyzed condition. The creature can make a contested grapple check to end the effect as an action on its turn.

If you lose or the host dies, you are ejected from their shadow and must occupy the nearest unoccupied space.

You may use this feature twice per short rest.

Shadow Puppet

The mastery of Shadows has taught you to use ones own shadow against them.

At 13th Level, As an part of an Attack action, while you are in a creatures shadow, you can deal 2d10 necrotic damage to the creature as their own shadow guides your blade.

Shadow Tag

At 17th level, You have learned how to make others shadows into weapons, charging them with the power of the Shadow fell.

While adjacent to an enemy in their shadow,  you may make a unarmed attack as an action. If you hit, you tear the shadow from your foe and it is bound to yours for the duration. If your opponent hits you before the start of your next turn, their shadow returns to them. As their shadow is bound to you, it slowly gains power as its attached to you.

If the creature can't hit you before the start of your next turn, the creature takes 8d10 necrotic as their shadow returns to them barreling toward them, charged with the cold grip of the Shadowfell. This attack cannot benefit from Sneak attack.
