Base Class: Fighter
Wardens are lone knights who patrol the lands and combat the wages of war. They are unparalleled combatants and only lead armies into combat to secure peace for the land. Legends tell that every warden is worth 1,000 foot soldiers. The only purpose a warden has is to end wars swiftly, to preserve the natural world. It is customary for 3 wardens to exist at a time, and 3 Squires to exist beneath them. One protecting the Material plane, one on the cusp of the material and fey planes, and a final one, on the cusp of the material plane and the shadowfell.
Elegant Versatility
Starting at 3rd level, when wielding a versatile weapon with two hands, you gain the following benefits:
-Versatile Control. When two handing a versatile weapon you can choose to damage using your dexterity or strength modifier.
-Precision duelist. You can add double your proficiency to your rolls to hit when holding a versatile weapon in two hands. In addition the Duelist fighting style applies even when two handing a versatile weapon.
Superiority Dice: Starting at level 3 you get 6 die 8 of superiority dice when two handing a versatile weapon.
-Parry. You can expend a superiority dice + dexterity or strength to reduce incoming melee damage
-Defense Break. You can expend a superiority dice + dexterity or strength modifier to add to your damage. The target must succeed a Strength saving throw equal to 8+proficiency+dex or str modifier. On a failed save this target is stunned.
-Flurry. You can expend a superiority dice to deal a swift flurry of follow up attacks on a successful strike, you roll a d8 and deal that number of attacks each flurry attack is equal to your proficiency modifier.
Defensive Posture
At the 7th level your stance determines what will hit you and what wont hit you, you gain the following benefits:
when wielding a versatile weapon in two hands, you can add a +2 to your AC and your damage rolls.
Vanguard
At the 10th level, When entering combat you gain the following benefits:
-You can add your proficiency to your initiative roll
-You can not be flanked when wielding a versatile weapon with two hands
The Warden's Dance
Starting at 15th level you can contend with multiple enemies at once, and gain the following benefits:
-you cant be flanked
-you can reaction parry enemies from behind you and reaction parry as long as you have superiority dice.
-you can use superiority dice to give yourself 1d8+con temporary hit points.
Warden's Duty
You gain the following benefits at level 18:
-When reduced to zero hit points and have superiority dice left, you can expend a d8+ con modifier to regain hit points; you can only use this once a day.
-When using your flurry, you can deal your weapons full damage, and can hit multiple targets.
-You do not have to expend superiority dice to parry.
