Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

While necromancy is often frowned upon and seen as morally grey, and enchantment is generally accepted despite its extraordinarily dark implications, hexcraft is accepted by all to be an evil, twisted school of magic fuelled by hatred, jealousy, malice, and all sorts of other negative emotions.

Hexcraft revolves around cursing people, places, and objects. It is also a school of careful planning and vigorous precision, causing most of its spells to tend towards longer casting times.

As creating a new spell school is not possible, hexcraft spells will be found under the necromancy school with (HEX) in the description.

Hex Savant

Beginning when you select this school at 2nd level, the gold and time you must spend to copy a hexcraft spell into your spellbook is halved.

Effigy Masterclass

When you choose this school at 2nd level, you learn the Create Effigy spell. If you already know this spell, you learn a different first level hexcraft spell of your choice.

When you cast Create Effigy, the material cost and casting time are halved.

Hateful Gaze

At 6th level you gain the ability to see the creatures you have hexed.

As an action you can activate your hateful gaze upon one creature you currently have hexed. This lasts for a minute. For the duration, as a bonus action you may switch from your own perspective, to observing the target as though through the scrying spell.

You may use this feature a number of times equal to your intelligence modifier and regain all expended uses after a long rest.

Spiritual Sigils

By 10th level, you have gained the ability to innately shield yourself in some way from the effects you wield against others.

Each dawn, choose one of the following spells to target yourself: sigil of binding, sigil of diminishing, or sigil of patience.

The chosen sigil lasts until the next dawn, you have been hexed, or the sigil has otherwise been removed. You may use this feature once, regaining this use the next dawn.

Invulnerable Effigies

At 14th level, your mastery of effigy creation has rendered your effigies far more resilient than is expected.

Any effigies created by you are completely immune to any spell effect (attempts to dispell its magic may cause a temporary suppression but nothing more), as such the only way to destroy one is by physical means that render it unrecognisable (eg fire if flammable, crushing if brittle, or shredding).
