Base Class: Monk
There are three rules that guide the path of cobra kai students and fuel their aggressive fighting style
strike first
strike hard
no mercy
Each teaching encourages monks of this path to strike first and ask questions later, if possible. many monks shun this art form, relating it more to street fighting rather then a monastic tradition. There are those however that find or seek out this path for power or to change their life with good intentions, these intentions however can easily become twisted and corrupted over time as this tradition has a way of changing users mind sets to the more chaotic impulsive side.
Strike First
Upon reaching level 3 and choosing this subclass the monk adds their Charisma modifier to their initiative role, Additionally the monk also gains proficiency with intimidation checks.
Strike Hard
Starting at level 6, the monk may choose to expend a number of ki points to a maximum of 5, when they successfully hit a target to do additional damage. The additional is equal to one additional martial die x the amount of ki points spent. For example if a level 6 monk expends 3 ki points with this feature, they roll an additional 3d6 for the damage roll for that attack.
No Mercy
Upon reaching level 11, when you get the finishing blow on a creature killing it, you gain temporary hit points equal to double your monk level and regain 4 ki points. once gaining benifits from this feature, you cannot do so again until after a long rest.
No Honour
Upon reaching level 17 you use any opening you can see to get a underhanded strike on the opponent. You may use your reaction to make an attack roll against a target that is either, coming into your range, exiting your range or about to strike you. If this attack lands the targets movement speed is reduced to 0 for the rest of their turn.
Additionally, you gain the benefits of thieves cant(see rogue features for details).
