Base Class: Ranger
You develop a close connection with a beast of the wild but you use your natural magics to magically enhance the connection.
Ranger's Companion
At 3rd level, you gain a beast companion that accompanies you on your adventures and is trained to fight alongside you. You also perform a ritual that links your spirit with that of your beast companion. Once the beast dies you can resummon its spirit in the manner of the Find Familiar spell. You do not need any of the material components but you must have a talisman from the body of the original beast. To resummon the beast's spirit, it takes 1 minute, you gain a level of exhaustion, and you expend a 1st level spell slot (or higher but this does not change the processes). You can resummon the beast in any form you want (depending on the DM's permission) but it retains the same stat block given by the Summon Bestial Spirit Spell. The summoning ritual can only be done once per day and you must wait until the dawn after the beast dies to resummon it.
The beast obeys your commands as best as it can. It takes its turn on your initiative. On your turn, you can verbally command the beast where to move (no action required by you). It cost's your bonus action to command the beast to take the Attack, Dash, Disengage or Help action. You can choose whether the beast attacks first or you do but one of you must complete your turn before the other can go.
While traveling through your favored terrain with only the beast, you can move stealthily at a normal pace.
Magical Mental Connection
Beginning at 7th level, your beast companion has become so in tune with you that it can sense your intentions through your magical link. You can now give the beast a command on your turn during combat silently by simply thinking the command. This is a free action.
The beast's attacks now count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Bestial Fury
Starting at 11th level, when you command your beast companion to take the Attack action, the beast can make two attacks, or it can take the Multiattack action if it has that action. It also adds your wisdom modifier to damage in addition to its own modifiers.
Share Spells
Beginning at 15th level, when you cast a spell targeting yourself, you can also affect your beast companion with the spell if the beast is within 30 feet of you. In addition, when casting a spell, the range can be measured from your position or your beast companions. So, for example, you can cast a touch spell on a creature your beast companion is touching, or you can cast a spell with a 30 ft. radius, within 30 ft. of yourself or your companion.
