Sorcerer
Base Class: Sorcerer

Fabled experts in magical close combat, Weave Needles discover their powers at a very early age but are unable to control them. Like other Wild Magic sorcerers their spells nearly always end in uncontrolled destruction, and though most choose to hide their gifts or forget them, a small few manage to focus their power with the aid of a weapon. From war hammers passed down through generations to seemingly mundane shorts words somehow touched by the arcane, together these arms and the Wild Magic sorcerers who wield them are called Weave Needles, forces that shape the world by the guiding hand of Mystra herself.

Martial Training

You gain proficiency with light armor, medium armor, and shields.

Focus Weapon

You may choose one melee weapon proficiency. A one hour ritual allows you to bond with a melee weapon that you have proficiency in, turning it into your magic focus. Weave Needles may only use bonded melee weapons as their magic focus.

Weapon Spell Attacks

All spells that require a spell attack roll must be cast as part of an attack using your Focus Weapon. If you hit a target the spell's effects are triggered for that target, in addition to the weapon's normal damage unless the spell is a cantrip. If you do not hit a target by the start of your next turn, the spell is wasted.

Extra Attack

Starting at 6th level you may attack twice with your Focus Weapon when you take the Attack action. When you cast a spell that requires a spell attack roll and targets a single creature the spell effects are triggered only on the first hit of that round. When you cast a spell that requires spell attack rolls against multiple targets the spell effects are triggered on each hit that round, up to a number of hits equal to the maximum number of targets.

Extended Mind

Starting at 14th level, your weapon becomes imprinted with your consciousness. You may imbue your Focus Weapon with the sentience property and while holding your Focus Weapon you may maintain concentration on two spells at once. To do so you must expend sorcery points equal to three times the combined spell levels. Losing concentration ends both spells.

Hollow Pommel

Starting at 18th level, once per long rest you may charge your Focus Weapon with spells as if it were a Ring of Spell Storing or you may expend a 6th level spell slot to cast Magic Jar using your Focus Weapon as the material component.
