Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Perhaps a god that expired due to lack of worship, or an ancient evil destroyed by adventurers past, a Vestige is the shadow of a memory. Vestiges vary in their nature and in the guise they take, but frequently appear trapped in an item or location which is their sole anchor to the real world. Communing with such a being is rarely without risk, but the rewards include rare magics lost to time and entropy.

Expanded Spell List

The Vestige lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Bitter Secrets

At 1st level, your patron has told you a secret which has changed your entire perspective on magic. Choose either verbal or somatic components - you no longer require that type of component to cast Warlock spells you know.

Revelations

Starting at 6th level, you can call on your patron to alter fate in your favor. When you make an ability check or a saving throw, you can use this feature to add a d10 to your roll. You can do so after seeing the initial roll but before any of the roll’s effects occur.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Open Your Mind

Starting at 10th level, your mind is filled with your patron’s murmured notions. Choose a spell list from a class other than Warlock. Those spells are considered warlock spells for you.

When you gain this ability, you can choose any number of Warlock spells you know and replace it with another valid spell, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots.

Immortality

Starting at 14th level, you learn the greatest secret of the vestige, the secret by which your patron and so many others have avoided death.

If you die, your patron spirits your soul away to an unknown location, preserving it from both passing to the afterlife and from any effects that would alter or destroy your soul.

Resurrection spells cast to restore you to life require no expensive material components, and if any such spell had a time limit on when it would cease to be effective, then that limit no longer applies to you.
