A witch is someone who manipulates reality through rituals and witchcraft, a type of magick not commonly seen in the world.

Witchcraft Rituals

WItches are known for curtain types of rituals unlike a wizard or cleric. These rituals use herbs, crystals, oils, and sometimes even prayer in order to cause an effect. These rituals can be performed over the course of a short rest. Each effect last for the day and ends when you take a long rest, unless you choose to upkeep them. Keep in mind all crystals have limited use, depending on how charged they are.

Hex of Hell

Utilizing incense, sunstone, and other herbs, you cause the following effects

  • When casted upon a location it slowly begins to shift. The temperature of the location begins to rise to a sweltering heat, and begins to attract monsters from the plane of fire. This effect lasts until each creature is killed, and only one creature can spawn each week. You have no control over these monsters, but you can hide yourself and others from their view.

Hex of Sorrow

Utilizing incense, clove, and other herbs you create the following effect.

  • When casted upon a person it causes their luck to go sour. All prices for that person rise 50%, ritual spells have a 50% chance to fail, they become plagued with nightmares and cannot gain benefit from long rests, and people naturally avoid them. This effect lasts for 3 days, or until cured by the effect of a Greater Restoration spell.

Ritual of Love

Utilizing incense, rose quarts, a prayer to a love deity, and a few other herbs, you create the following effect

  • If casted upon a person, they gain a +3 bonus to their charisma modifier 

Ritual of Luck

Utilizing incense, a four leafed clover, and other herbs you create the following effect.

  • Casted upon a person, prices lower 50%, ritual spells casted have a 10% chance to perfectly succeed no matter what, they have wonderful dreams and can recover one spell slot of 5th level or lower when taking a short rest, and people naturally trust you.

Ritual of Protection

Utilizing incense, eggshells and a few other herbs you create a protective force around a person or place causing the following effects

  • Casted upon a person or group of people (8 people max) this causes them to gain a +1 to their AC
  • Casted upon a location causes a specific creature or type of creature to avoid the area. The creature or creatures in question will simply ignore the location as though they don't know it's there, however your DM can determine whether a creature is capable of noticing you.

Spirit Guide

An ancestor, otherworldly being, or deity becomes your spirit guide, and you gain a magical focus that takes one of the following forms

  • A pendulum 
  • An ornate candle
  • An orb of starlight
  • A replica of the moon that produces magical light
  • A wand with a crystal attached to the tip
  • A book of shadows

This focus allows you to cast magic, however this cannot replace materials for Witchcraft.

Crystal Healing

Utilizing a rose quarts crystal, you can charge it with moonlight and enchant it to cast Cure Wounds at first level. any creature can use this stone however it can only be used once per charge, and only charges during a full moon or from the effects of a Moonbeam spell

Witch Crafting

You learn to create magical objects and potions using the power of the lunar cycle to enchant it

Potion Crafting

So long as you have the recipe, you can create potions over the course of a short rest equal to your spell casting modifier.

Witches Broom

You create a magical broom over the course of a short rest. This broom is wondrous, and has a flying speed of 50 ft. You are considered attuned to this broom, even if you already have three attuned items, and can call it to you so long as it is within a mile of you, and will teleport to you.

Witches Hat

You create a witches hat over the course of a short rest. This hat allows you to understand what a plant needs to thrive, and allows you to communicate with animals with an intelligence score of 4 or higher. 

Astral Projection

Different from the spell, a witches astral projection allows them to separate their astral body from themselves, letting them see spirits and the world differently. This ability can only be used while sleeping, while astral projecting you can interact with objects, and are invisible to any living creature regardless of what senses they have. You are also able to walk through walls, even if there is magical protections in place.
