Base Class: Rogue
The aim of your training has been to deliver death from a distance. But snipers are as diverse as they are dangerous… They are Tinkers’ who create new inventions, guardians of nature who defend ancient woods, and scouts who stalk the far edges of a battlefield. Snipers are more than just their tools: patience, preparation, and strategy are key to every successful operation.
Bonus Proficiencies
When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with firearms.
Quick Hands
Starting at 3rd level, you can use the bonus action granted by your Cunning Action to either reload a weapon with the [wprop]reload[/wprop ] property, or take the Aim action.
Aim: You gain advantage on your next ranged attack this turn; you can only use this bonus action if you haven't moved this turn, and after you use this bonus action, your speed is 0 until the end of the current turn.
Sniper's Nest
Starting at 9th level, you can spend 1 minute creating camouflage for yourself. You must have access to materials to camouflage yourself such as dirt, dust, debris, soot, foliage, or otherwise.
Once you are camouflaged in this way, you can try to hide by pressing yourself up against a solid surface, such as a tree or wall, that is at least as tall and wide as you are. You gain a +10 bonus to Dexterity (Stealth) checks as long as you remain there without moving or taking actions. Once you move or take an action or a reaction, you must camouflage yourself again to gain this benefit.
One Shot, One Kill
Starting at 13th level, you are at your deadliest when you get the drop on your enemies. You have advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn’t taken a turn in the combat yet. In addition, any hit you score against a creature that is surprised is a critical hit.
Sniper's Focus
You have spent a long time perfecting your ability to blend in with the ground and the environment around you.
Starting at 17th level, you gain access to the following benefits:
- Whenever you miss a ranged attack, it does not alert the enemies to your position.
- When you hit a ranged attack while hidden, you must then make a stealth check with disadvantage(DC = targets passive perception), on a success the target knows of your general whereabouts, but not your exact location(you are still hidden). On a failure, you are detected and are no longer in stealth, as you would normally be.
