Base Class: Wizard
A wizard may spend their whole life dedicated to the search of answers, power, and deeper secrets of the Arcane. But Mystics, formally called Theurges or Mystic Theurges, seek a truth beyond that. Where most wizards dabble only in what is known as the Arcane, Theurges know that all magic comes from the same source: The Weave, and spend their life toiling for the secrets found in what the laymen would know as both the Divine and the Arcane. Such a distinction is seen as ignorance to a Theurge, who play with powers only the gods themselves truly understand.
The Truth of the Weave
At second level, cleric spells are wizard spells for you, and you may scribe cleric spells into your spellbook from scrolls that you find at the normal cost for scribing spells. Additionally, you may choose one cleric spell and one wizard spell, instead of two Wizard spells, when gaining new spells from leveling.
You may also swap one Wizard cantrip for a cantrip from the Cleric spell list after choosing this Tradition.
Any cleric spell with the ritual tag may be cast as a ritual, without being prepared, but you must have the spell in your spellbook.
Additionally, you gain proficient in Religion checks, if you aren't already.
Mystical Learnings
Starting at 6th level, you may choose one cleric Channel Divinity class feature. You may not choose the Turn Undead feature. You may use this feature once per long rest, and it does not require a Holy Symbol. If the feature you select has a saving throw, you may use your Intelligence modifier instead of your Wisdom modifier to determine it's DC.
Spark of the Weave
At 10th level, after casting a cleric or wizard spell, and then casting a spell from the other class within one round, you collect a spark of pure power. You start with one such Spark at the end of a long rest, and you may have no more than two Sparks. You lose all Sparks at the start of a long rest. This spark is expended when used , and can be used to empower your magic in the followings ways:
- You may cast a spell of 1st level or higher you do not have prepared, that is in your spellbook, at that spell's normal level, expending a spell slot as normal.
- You may change the damage type of a spell of 1st level or higher from Radiant or Necrotic to Fire, Cold, Lightning, Thunder, or Acid damage. Additionally, you may use this option to have a spell that already deals these damage types, to change the damage on one of it's dice to Radiant or Necrotic.
- You may replenish the use of your Mystical Leaning Channel Divinity option as a bonus action.
The Divine Arcane
Starting at 14th level, you have advantage on saving throws against spells, and resistance to damage from spells. Additionally, when you use your Spark of the Weave feature to Turn Undead, Fiends, Celestials, and Feys are now also affected.
