Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of Knowledge are those who train to use the power of Ki to accelerate their brain. Using this technique allows them to see things as if they were in slow motion, learn things twice as fast, and retain more knowledge. This comes at a cost however, since even if you perceive things to be slower, you are just as slow. Even if you learn faster, you forget twice as fast. Even if you retain the knowledge, there is no guarantee this will be healthy. All in all, the Way of Knowledge is very sacrificial but may lead to becoming the very paragon of knowledge.

Brain Acceleration

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can manipulate your Ki to double your brains speed. You gain the following features:

  • When a hostile creature uses their action to attack you with a melee weapon, you use your reaction and spend 1 Ki point to impose disadvantage.
  • When you have to make a Charisma, Intelligence, or Wisdom saving throw or any skill check, you may spend 1 Ki Point to impose advantage, but your next roll using that skill/stat has disadvantage. This feature may be used once, and regain all uses on a short rest, and the disadvantage is ignored after a long rest.

Mind Projection

At 6th level, you gain the ability to project your consciousness into a small demiplane private to you. When you use this feature, you render yourself unconscious and find yourself in a demiplane as a transparent simulacrum of your physical body. In this state, your body is susceptible to damage and can be destroyed but your consciousness can only stay in this state for 48 hours or you die instantly. You may leave this plane and return to your body at anytime. If your body is destroyed and you try to return, you die instantly. If a stone statue is sculpted in your image or a statue of a different humanoid is bought, you may project your consciousness into the statue . If you do this, you return to normal albeit having the petrified condition for 72 hours.

Mind Rip

At 11th level, your character has learned to imbue their strikes with Ki, allowing them to rip the consciousness of others from their body and make their body react slower than normal. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you many spend 3 Ki points to make that creature loses all reactions and imposing advantage on attack against the creature have advantage while imposing disadvantage on roll this creature makes until the end of its next turn.

Precognitive Mind

At 17th level, you can spend 5 Ki to project your consciousness 10 seconds into the future, for 5 rounds, granting you the following features:

  • While this feature is in effect, all attacks against you have disadvantage.
  • While this feature is in effect, all of your attacks have advantage.
  • While this feature is in effect, you gain 1 extra turn every round at the end of the round.
  • While this feature is in effect, all of your Dexterity saving throws are successful.
