Base Class: Warlock
Dream Demons are chaotic and often malevolent creatures spawned from the nightmares of Gods and other extremely power arcane beings. However a dream demon is confined to the mind of its host. It is able to shape its dreams, and more often than nought, nightmares to its whim. Creating worlds that seem so terrifying and real that they can result in one’s death. If a dream demon kills its host through its horrific nightmares it gains full control of its host’s mind and body allowing it to take on their life for a short time, but the flesh of its host will still rot and decay so the demon is forced to look for a new person to make a deal with so that they can gain a new host. Dream Demons don’t always kill their hosts, because while they might temporarily enjoy it every dream demon seeks their freedom from the mind scape, so once it finds a host it believes can help it achieve it’s goals or at least bring it a little closer to achieving them it will grant that newly created warlock a strong power over the dreams of themselves and others.
Epanded Spell List
At 1st level you get additional spells added to your warlock spell list.
- dissonant whispers, hideous laughter
- blur, phantasmal force
- feign death, bestow curse
- evard’s black tentacles, phantasmal killer

Sleep Walker
At 1st level you gain the sleep spell. When you cast the sleep spell you can ignore any ability that prevents the target from being put to sleep with magic (ex:you can put elves to sleep). Additionally you can cast sleep targeting only yourself an amount of times equal to your charisma modifier per long rest. If you cast sleep this way you immediately fall prone, but for the next minute you bing to sleep walk. While sleep walking you can take actions in combat as usual and are still aware of your surroundings as if you were awake. While sleep walking you cannot talk and whenever you try to talk every syllable you say becomes snoring, you appear to be asleep to all creatures around you, and whenever you cast a warlock spell that deals damage while sleep walking you can add an amount of damage equal to your charisma modifier + proficiency bonus.
you cannot be put to sleep by any means unless you are willing.
Nightmare Invasion
At 6th level you gain the ability to enter the dreams of a sleeping creature and twist them into a harmful nightmare. As an action you can touch the forehead of one sleeping creature within 5ft of you and they must make a wisdom save on a success you do not enter their mind and they are immune to this feature for 24 hours. If they fail their saving throw your body falls prone and you enter the creatures dreams. When you enter the creatures dreams you can see them standing in a black and empty space. They cannot see you but they can hear your voice if you choose to speak. You can completely change the inky void around the creature to whatever you wish, but you cannot change the creature themselves. Once per turn you can create and effect that harms the creature. If you produce such an effect they take an amount of psychic damage equal to your proficiency modifier. Neither you nor the target can be woken by any means unless you or the target has been reduced to 0 hit points. You are forced to leave the target’s mind after 1 minute has passed. After you leave the target’s mind you cannot use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
Lucid State
At 10th level you gain the ability to enter a trance in which the barrier between your dream world and reality is extremely thin, granting you intense power. At the start of your turn you can enter the lucid state. While within the trance you can use your action to cast one warlock spell you know of 5th level or lower without expending a spell slot. If you end your turn while within the state you must choose to stay in the state for another turn or to end it. If you choose to end it you exit the trance and cannot enter the lucid state again until you finish a long rest. If you choose to continue the state you gain one level of exhaustion and stay in the trance for another turn, at the end of which you must make this choice again. You do not suffer the effects of any levels of exhaustion gained this way until you end the lucid state except if you end your turn with six levels of exhaustion then the trance ends and you die instantly.
Well Rested
At 14th level you are able to create the ultimate resting place for yourself within your dreams while still being productive in the real world. When you take a short or long rest you can choose to sleep for the duration. When you do this your body begins sleep walking and can do light activities while you rest within your mind. Your sleep walking body cannot do anything that would require great effort from you normally. If you sleep this way for the duration of a short rest you lose one level of exhaustion. If you sleep this way for the duration of a long rest you lose all levels of exhaustion.
