Monk
Base Class: Monk

These monks harness the fabric of time to rewrite events to their advantage in and out of battle. Masters of this art can blur the lines between reality and fantasy around them to truly disorient their foes. Temporal monks live apart from the rest of society who deem their studies dangerous and unruly, but in actuality they are only harnessing their ki to their highest potential. The few monks who venture out into the unknown become versatile warriors in their craft, often leaving friends and foes alike in awe and wonder at the skills they possess. Determination and perseverance are the keys to their ferocity, but a calm mind and self control will produce extraordinary results.

Monastic Tradition: Way of the Temporal Blur

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level your temporal training allows you to blur in and out of reality at will. Your ability to manipulate time in this manner is reflected by your Blur points, and at 3rd level you begin with 3 Blur points, you gain 3 additional Blur points at 6th level, 11th level, and 17th level.

-You can spend 1 Blur point as a free action once during your turn to regain 1 ki point.

-You can spend 2 Blur points as a free action once during your turn to gain an additional bonus action, this bonus action can only be used once per turn.

-You can spend 3 Blur points as a free action once per round to regain a reaction you have expended or to gain an additional reaction.

-You can spend 4 Blur points as an action to regain up to 2 ki points.

-You can spend 5 Blur points as a free action to gain an additional action during your turn, this can only be used once during your turn.

-You can spend 6 Blur points as a free action to succeed a saving throw or an ability check instead of failing it.

Whenever you spend one or more Blur points, any unused reactions, bonus actions, or actions are consumed at the end of the round. Spent Blur points are unavailable until you finish a long rest, at the end of which you regain all expended uses back into yourself. You must spend at least 2 hours of the long rest meditating to regain your Blur points.

Temporal Anomaly

At 3rd level you begin to train yourself to teleport frequently at short distances. You can expend the use of your reaction to teleport yourself up to 5 feet in any direction, or you may spend 1 Blur point to do so as a bonus action during your turn. The teleportation is instantaneous, and you must be able to see where you are going to be able to teleport to that unoccupied space. This does not expend any use of your movement, and does not provoke opportunity attacks if you move away from a creature. Any attacks made against you that hit only cause you to take half damage rounded up instead of the full damage. At 6th level the distance you teleport becomes up to 10 feet, at 11th level it becomes up to 15 feet, and at 17th level it becomes up to 20 feet.

Escape Artist

At 6th level you can expel your ki in small bursts of Blur energy. Getting up from being prone only takes 5 feet of movement instead of half your movement.

You may teleport as a bonus action to escape grapples and non-magical effects that restrain you, this only takes 5feet of your movement instead of making a strength check to break free. You occupy a space within 5 feet of where you were, you cannot use this feature if there are no unoccupied spaces within 5 feet of where you teleported from.

If you are petrified you may use your action to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw to reverse time and negate the spell or effect, if you succeed, the spell or effect that petrified you fails to hold you captive and you occupy an empty space 5 feet away. On a failed save you take 3d6 force damage and remain petrified.

Mirror Imagery

Beginning at 11th level whenever you use the teleport reaction or bonus action, you may spend up to 6 Blur points to create that many illusory duplicates of yourself to appear in your space for one minute (For example: spend 3 Blur points to make 3 duplicates). Until the effect ends, the duplicates move with you and mimic your actions, shifting position so it’s impossible to track which image is real. You can use your action to dismiss the illusory duplicates.
Each time a creature targets you with an attack during the spell’s duration, roll a d20 to determine whether the attack instead targets one of your duplicates.
If you have five or six duplicates, you must roll a 6 or higher to change the attack’s target to a duplicate. With three or four duplicates, you must roll an 8 or higher. With one or two duplicates, you must roll an 11 or higher.
A duplicate’s AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier. If an attack hits a duplicate, the duplicate is destroyed. A duplicate can be destroyed only by an attack that hits it. It ignores all other damage and effects. The spell ends when all duplicates are destroyed.
A creature is unaffected by this spell if it can’t see, if it relies on senses other than sight, such as blindsight, tremorsight, or if it can perceive illusions as false as with truesight.

Eternal Paradox

At 17th level you regain all spent Blur points when you finish a short or long rest instead of just a long rest, and at the end of which you draw all of your expended uses back into yourself. You must now spend at least 30 minutes of the rest meditating to regain your Blur points instead of the full hour. You cannot die of old age.

You may spend 12 Blur points or 17 ki points to cast the Time Stop spell, the Gate spell without needing material components, or the Foresight spell without needing material components.

In addition when you roll initiative and you have no Blur points remaining, you regain 4 Blur points, also during your turn as an action you can also spend up to 15 feet of movement to regain 3 Blur points with each Blur point costing 5 feet of movement each.
