Bard
Base Class: Bard

You constantly flirt with death. Maybe you have been dead once and escaped. Maybe you lost someone you loved and are trying to get them back through music. Or maybe you just like the thrill of taunting with avoidable inevitability that awaits us all. Either way, you learned to touch peoples spirits through your music, lifting them up before sending them to their afterlife. Most necromancers are gloomy old geezers, but you make your undead dance. And just when you think the show is over ... you give an encore.

Soul Crusher

Your music reaches peoples hearts and then shatters them. At 3rd level you can add your charisma modifier to the damage of spells that deal necrotic or psychic damage.

Additionally, to create a eerie ambiance, you learn the Thaumaturgy cantrip, which does not count towards the number of known cantrips for you.

Uplifting Words

Also at 3rd level, your music lifts up the spirits of your allies. You can use a bonus action to choose one creature other than yourself within 60 feet of you who can hear you and expend a bardic inspiration die. The creature gains a number of temporary hitpoints equal to one roll of the die + your charisma modifier. Additionally, if a creature within 60ft cannot hear you because they have dropped to 0 hitpoints, you can still reach them and give them a bardic inspiration die. They must use it on their next death saving throw and if they still have it when they become conscious again, the die is lost.

Dark Magical Secrets

At 6th level, you learn Animate Dead, an additional necromancy spells and a necromancy cantrip of your choice from any class. The spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Bard table. The chosen spells count as bard spells for you but don’t count against the number of bard spells you know.

Cheat Death

Starting at 14th level, when you drop to 0 hitpoints you can expend a bardic inspiration die. You then immediately stand up with 1 hitpoint and an amount of temporary hitpoints equal to the roll of the die.
