Druid
Base Class: Druid

Druids of the Circle of the Coven are secretive but loyal. Bound by blood rituals and mutual trust, the Circle of the Coven is made up of members that find beauty in the nature of alliances and unity. Unlike most druids that put nature first, the Circle of the Coven puts its coven first and all of its members. Because of this, the morality and legitimacy of these covens can vary; perhaps it is a hidden utopian community of druids of similar minds, or perhaps it is a fanatic cult centered around a coven of hags. No matter the origins, the Circle of the Coven is based on powers of divination, far sight, rituals, and the bond to the coven.

Circle Spells

Your connection to the coven grants you access to certain spells. At 2nd level, you learn the prestidigitation cantrip. At 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level you gain access to the spells listed for that level in the Circle of the Coven Spells table.

Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it doesn’t count against the number of spells you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that doesn’t appear on the druid spell list, the spell is nonetheless a druid spell for you.

3rd augury, detect thoughts
5th bestow curse, clairvoyance
7th arcane eye, death ward
9th hold monster, legend lore

Bond of the Coven

Starting at 2nd level, you can expand the influence of your coven. During a short or long rest, you may choose a number of willing creatures equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1). Until you use this ability again, you may share your spell slots with any of the affected creatures and they may share their spell slots with you. To share a spell slot, you must be able to see each other. Only spell slots that a creature can cast can be shared with them (for example; to share a 5th level spell slot, the other creature must also have 5th level spell slots).

Secrets of the Coven

At 2nd level, your coven has given you knowledge of their sacred rituals. During a short or long rest, you may choose 2 ritual spells from any class and have them prepared until your next short or long rest. These spells count as Druid spells for you even if they are not from the Druid spell list, and they do not count against the number of spells you can prepare. The ritual spells must be of a level you can cast as a druid.

Accursed Blessing

At 6th level, you have learned the blessings and curses that your coven has power over. You gain the following benefits:

  • Whenever you restore hit points to a creature, you may choose to end one of the following conditions: poisoned, stunned, paralyzed, charmed, or frightened
  • Whenever you deal damage to a creature using an attack or spell, you may deal an additional 1d8 necrotic damage. You restore hit points equal to the necrotic damage dealt

Gift of the Seer

At 10th level, you gain a divine sight marking you as one of your coven's most powerful members. You gain the sending and scrying spells and can cast them at will. In addition, you gain true sight with a range of 60 ft.

Blood of the Coven

At 14th level, your connection to the coven has grown so strong you can feel when another member is in grave danger. You may invoke this ability as a reaction whenever a creature under the Bond of the Coven feature is reduced to 0 hit points. If you do so, you gain the following benefit for 1 minute:

  • The range of all of your druid spells is doubled. If one of these spells is a touch spell, it gains a range of 30 ft

In addition, you and all creatures under the Bond of the Coven feature gain the following benefits:

  • You all gain 20 temporary hit points
  • Once per turn, each creature may add 1d4 to either an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw

Once you use this ability, you may not do so again until finishing a long rest.
