Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

Those who gain their strength and magical prowess from their devotion to the crown - specifically that which sits upon the head of their queen - do not take this oath lightly. These paladins are sworn to the service of their queen and will protect and serve her at all costs.

Tenets of the Queen's Guard

The tenets of the Oath of the Queen's Guard are central to the service of a paladin of this oath. These tenets are more important than an individual's own life or values.

Loyalty. You shall remain loyal to your sovereign above all else.

Self-Sacrifice. You must be willing to do anything, at great risk to yourself, in the name of your queen's safety.

Honor. You must act honorably in the name of the queen. What brings honor or dishonor to your queen is subject to her will.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.

Oath of the Queen's Guard Spells
Paladin Level Spells
3rd Guiding Bolt, Shield of Faith
5th Protection from Poison, Warding Bond
9th Beacon of Hope, Life Transference
13th Death Ward, Guardian of Faith
17th Greater Restoration, Teleportation Circle

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Queen's Frenzy. As a bonus action you launch yourself into a frenzy in service of your queen. For one round you roll your attacks with advantage and add your Charisma modifier to the damage rolls.

Gods Save the Queen. As a bonus action, you can choose a single creature within 30 feet of you to heal. You take 4d6 necrotic damage and the chosen creature regains that much health.

Aura of the Queen's Shield

Starting at 7th level, your vigilant guard of your queen projects itself an aura that shields those around you from damage. Any non-hostile creature within 10 feet of you gains resistance to non-magical slashing, bludgeoning, and piercing damage.

At 18th level, the range of this aura increases to 30 feet.

Undying Devotion

Starting at 15th level your devotion to your Queen emboldens you in your time of greatest need. When you are reduced to 0 hit points and are not killed outright, you can choose to drop to 1 hit point instead. When this happens, you gain 15 temporary hit points.

Once you use this ability, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.

Queen's Guardian

At the 20th level, your stalwart defense of your queen manifests as a being of pure light that surrounds your corporeal body. You can use your action to gain the following benefits for 1 minute:

  • You and all non-hostile creatures within 15 feet of you gain 30 temporary hit points
  • Your melee and ranged attacks now do an additional 2d8 radiant damage
  • Hostile creatures cannot target anyone but you

This effect ends early if you are incapacitated or die. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
