Base Class: Paladin
Slay the dragon, find the sacred chalice, end the threat of evil, or discover uncharted lands. Some are bound to lofty self-righteous codes, others to the whims of kings and lords. But some have a clear vision in mind and will not rest until it is achieved. These follow the Oath of the Quest.
OATH OF THE QUEST SPELLS
You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.
3rd: Cure Wounds, Heroism
5th: Find Steed, Locate Object
9th: Create Food and Water, Remove Curse
13th: Death Ward, Locate Creature
17th: Dispel Evil and Good, Raise Dead
TENETS OF THE QUEST
The Quest always comes first, personal interests, wealth, glory, even the will of rulers will not draw those who walk with the intention of completing their great task. In this way a Paladin of the Quest may seem singularly minded to some, but it is this very determination which gives them the strength to overcome any obstacle, or die trying.
Until my task is done, or death take me. Only death will keep me from seeing my quests task complete, I will never give up so long as I have breath.
Seek not gold, nor lands, nor titles. I will not pursue personal gain for my own sake, only that which will further me toward the completion of my quest.
Do not allow for distraction. I will not become invested in petty affairs, vices, or conflicts, even helping those in need come secondary to the quest.
Allow none to stop you. Whether friend or foe if someone gets in my way I will move them, if they continue to hinder me on my quest I will remove them.
CHANNEL DIVINITY
When you take this Oath at 3rd level you gain these two channel divinity options.
Lesser Commune. You may perform a short ritual to inquire of a deity or other power for guidance. When you do so you may ask one question that can be answered with a yes or no and the higher power inquired will attempt to answer the question correctly.
However, these higher powers are not all knowing and may at times reply with an answer that is unclear.
Tireless Pursuit. When you use this Channel divinity option you and up to 5 friendly creatures within 30 feet of you gain the benefits of a short rest so long as they do not take any actions tied to Dexterity or Strength over the next 30 minutes.
AURA OF PURPOSE
At 7th level, your Quest grants you a purpose filled drive which grants you and your companions the will to endure. You and friendly creatures within 10 feet gain advantage on Wisdom and Constitution saving throws.
At 18th level the range of this aura extends to 30 feet.
DRIVEN STRIKE
At 15th level, your drive overwhelms your enemies. When you strike an opposing creature with a critical hit or a smite spell that creature has disadvantage on attack rolls against you and friendly creatures within your aura range until the end of its next turn.
RELENTLESS SEEKER
At 20th level, your purpose drives you to relentlessly seek out the objective of your quest and those who would keep your from it.
Once a day you may give yourself True Sight for 1 hour.
Also, You may select a single creature, for one minute you and friendly creatures in your aura's range have advantage on attacks against that creature. If the creature dies you may select a new creature for the remainder of the minute. You must take a long rest before you use these feature again.
Additionally, you may also cast the Locate Creature or Locate object Spells without expending a spell slot.
