I decided to make this after seeing the other Demon Slayer subclasses. I tried to blend in the most lore I could, which is why the Demon Slayer Mark, Hashira, and Total Concentration Breathing are all obtainable. The breathing mechanic could be improved and is encouraged. Also, While this subclasses specifically uses Breath of the Moon, you're able to swap it out for any other breath style.
Nichirin Blade
Nichirin Blades are special blades used by and made specifically for the Demon Slayer Corps to slay Demons. Each Demon Slayer is gifted a sword after completing the final selection exam and will replace your starting weapon or not if you don't want it to. They are forged from a unique ore (Taiyōgin) that constantly absorbs sunlight, one of the only major weaknesses of Demons. Therefore, decapitation by Nichirin Blade is one of the only ways a human can kill a Demon. Nichirin Blades take on a distinct color when first drawn by its owner, which is why they are also referred to as "The Color Changing Swords". However, the holder is required to have a certain amount of skill (Lvl 3), or the blade will not change color.

In some cultures, this strong, single-edged sword is a symbol of honor and prestige. The katana is intended for two-handed use, but it's light enough to be wielded one-handed.
Finesse Variant
Historically, katana widely varied in size and weight. If you would prefer a katana that emphasizes fast, precise cuts, replace the versatile property with the finesse property and reduce the weight to 2 lbs.
The Nichirin Blade will share the same stats as a katana, which shares the same states as a regular longsword. However, because of the sunlight roll's properties, an extra 1d4 after each successful hit against demons, undead, and unholy creatures. If that's how the rules work, I don't know.
While the standard weapon of choice for demon slayers is a Katana, there have been several instances where swords with different properties and entirely different weapons have been forged out of Taiyōgin; however, the secrets to making these weapons is known only to the Demon Slayer Corps village of skilled craftsman.
Breathing Style
Upon reaching Lvl. 3, you gain the ability to use the Breath Style of your choosing in combat. Your breath style determines the elemental damage you deal and your abilities while using Total Concentration Breathing.
- The # of breath points is equal to your Fighter Lvl. + Con. (Regain points after short/long rest) Long Rest regain all breath points, Short rest regain breath points equal to half your fighter level rounded up.
- DC = 8 + Proficiency + Wisdom Modifier
Breath of the Moon
During your tenure as a Demon Slayer, your skills will continue to sharpen as you face stronger foes. As you progress through the ranks, more and more moon techniques will become available, transforming a capable warrior into a being with few equals. The following list will explain the techniques, their breath requirements, and level progression.

Breath Form Descriptions
- First Form: Dark Moon - Evening Palace - Player draws his sword and slashes swiftly in a single motion; like with all Moon Breathing techniques, numerous chaotic blades originate from the slash. This technique resembles Iaido.
- Second Form: Pearl Flowers Moongazing - Players performs several slashes while sending a barrage of chaotic blades forward.
- Third Form: Loathsome Moon - Chains - Players swings his sword rapidly in two crescent slashes, from which a storm of smaller crescents spread. This technique causes huge destruction in a small area.
- Fifth Form: Moon Spirit Calamitous Eddy - Player makes multiple curved slashes layered over one another, resembling a rising vortex. Numerous chaotic blades originate from these slashes. The player performs this attack without swinging his blade.
- Sixth Form: Perpetual Night, Lonely Moon - Incessant - Player releases a wild storm of slashes in multiple directions.
- Seventh Form: Mirror of Misfortune - Moonlit - Player swings his sword in a powerful frontal slash that then creates a multi directional frontal assault, powerful enough to create several deep gouges in the ground and push back two Hashira.
- Eighth Form: Moon-Dragon Ringtail - Player uses a direct frontal attack that creates a single gigantic slash.
- Ninth Form: Waning Moonswaths - Player creates a seemingly endless stream of slashes, capable of cutting down his intended target from a long range.
- Tenth Form: Drilling Slashes - Moon Through Bamboo Leaves - Player creates a triple-layered slash twister, capable of mowing down his targets into three clean pieces.
- Fourteenth Form: Catastrophe - Tenman Crescent Moon - Player swings his sword and creates a chaotic vortex of powerful omni-directional slashes that destroys whatever is caught up within its attack radius.
- Sixteenth Form: Moonbow - Half Moon - Player swings his sword in a downward slash, resulting in a powerful sixfold slash crashing down on his opponents; the attack itself is powerful enough to create several miniature craters where the slashes have landed.
Regular Attacks
Regular attacks from this breath style also create a moon attack that follows the swing of the users weapon, however since this is not a breathing technique but a product of practicing the style damage is decided by a 1d4 and will not scale like the breath styles.
Lvl. Scaling: Lvl 3. 1d4, Lvl. 12 1d8, & Lvl. 18 1d10
Fighting Spirit
Starting at Lvl. 7, your intensity in battle can shield you and help you strike true. As a bonus action on your turn, you can give yourself advantage on all weapon attack rolls until the end of the current turn. When you do so, you also gain 5 temporary hit points. The number of hit points increases when you reach certain levels in this class, increasing to 10 at 10th level and 15 at 15th level.
You can use this feature three times. You regain all expended uses of it when you finish a long rest.
Total Concentration Constant
Upon reaching Lvl. 7, you are now able to maintain Total Concentration Breathing at all times through excessive and brutal training (+5 to your breath points). Having greater control of your breathing also grants the ability to restrict blood flow and tighten muscles allowing for the closing of minor wounds and preventing fatal blood loss and poison spread. However, using these abilities forces one to use an extra breath point per 18 seconds (3 rounds). Or, in the case of a death saving throw, you gain an advantage on saving throws. You can also hold your breath for an extra 2 minutes on top of however long you can typically.
Total Concentration Constant Abilities Choose Two
- Your movement increases by 10ft. ( +5 at Lvl.10, +5 at Lvl.15)
- You gain another damage die to your breath attacks. 1d4
- Every other level gain +2 additional Breath Point to the current level.

Demon Slayer Hashira
Upon reaching Lvl.10, you are acknowledged by the Demon Slayer Corps as one of its strongest fighters and join an elite group of Slayers known as the Hashira. As a Hashira, you are a specialist in your breathing style and have a very polished skillset (cost of using a breath attack is reduced by half). Along with this comes the skill Blood Concentration: With sterner lungs than an average slayer, you can restrict your blood and muscles at a level that rival a demon's regenerative abilities allowing one to close major wounds and almost completely stop blood loss. You are also one of the few capable of achieving even more remarkable feats.
Hashira Abilities Choose Two
- Increase movement speed by 10ft ( +5 at Lvl.10, +5 at Lvl.15)
- Heightened Senses: Fighting in poorly lit areas and against crafty and sneaky foes, you have gained an extra level of sensory. You will always have the chance to avoid stealth and surprise attacks and traps.

Strength Before Death
Starting at Lvl.15, your fighting spirit can delay the grasp of death. If you take damage that reduces you to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to delay falling unconscious, and you can immediately take an extra turn. While you have 0 hit points during that extra turn, taking damage causes death, saving throw failures as normal, and three death saving throw failures can still kill you. When the extra turn ends, you fall unconscious if you still have 0 hit points.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Demon Slayer Mark
Level 18: After many long and hard-fought battles, your spirit is emboldened, and your body and skills have reached their absolute peak. This is manifested in a unique mark appearing anywhere on your upper body. This mark signifies the absolute pinnacle of a demon slayer.
Only a select few in the Demon Slayer Corps have developed a mysterious tattoo-like marking that can be unlocked and may appear on the body of a strong Demon Slayer. It resembles the Demon Crests that Demons possess. These marks are referred to as Demon Slayer Marks. It looks somewhat like a tattoo, scar, or birthmark and each Demon Slayer Mark looks unique, relating to the Breathing Style of the bearer.
The true origin of the Demon Slayer Mark is unknown,
Demon Slayer Mark Abilities
- +3 to your three highest states and +1 to every other stat," Max of 20."
- Your movement speed is also permanently increased by 30ft.
- In combat, your Nichirin Blade is enveloped in a red hue and reflects the effects of the sun becoming super effective against all undead and unholy creatures, nullifying regeneration and scorching them.
- The user becomes able to see the muscles, blood flow, and joint movement of living beings, allowing the user to accurately predict and react to their opponent's actions (+3 to initiative) and confirm the health and well-being of others. Additionally, the user gains hyper-perception, allowing them to perceive the world around them at a much fast rate, making it appear to them as if the world was going in slow motion.
- Curse of the Mark: Having the Demon Slayer Mark has its costs. Demon Slayers who have awakened the Demon Slayer Mark without fail die before reaching the age of 25. A former demon slayer speculated this to be because the mark exchanged its user's life span for power.
