Base Class: Bard
Forgotten Realms Wiki: Heartwarder.
Heartwarders were the specialty priests devoted to goddess Sune. Heartwarders followed the teachings of Lady Firehair by encouraging love and enjoyment of all things in life. They were considered the high priests of Sunite temples, working under the Heartwardens.
Heartwarders often served wealthy patrons in the great cities found throughout the Realms. They in turn were aided in their efforts help bring together men and women seeking love and intimacy, as well as to bring pure pleasure through art, music, and other enjoyable pursuits.
They often worked as matchmakers, etiquette instructors, artists, or teachers in a myriad of creative disciplines, such as: visual arts, dance and performance art, vocal and instrumental music, personal beautification, and social etiquette.
Sometimes, heartwarders were forced to take a less peaceful route and directly oppose all forms of cruelty and tyranny. Although heartwarders did not relish battle, they accepted that sometimes the passion associated with beauty and joy could not be preserved by other means. When combat arose they typically chose to shield others from harm rather than fight.
Inspiring Beauty
Beginning at 3rd level you gain the following benefits:
- Divine Favor. You gain proficiency in Medium Armor and your spells are considered Divine casting as per the Cleric spell list. Each time you select news spells when you gain levels, you may learn one spell available to your spell level on the cleric spell list. CHA is the spellcasting modifier for these spells.
- Love Sense. For one hour you can use an action and one use of your Bardic Inspiration to read the romantic details of a creature within 30 feet of you. Details include predilections, how long their most recent relationship has existed, gossip, and other relevant information. During this time, creatures in the radius cannot gain advantage on charisma saving throws on saves to resist being charmed by you.
- Beguiling Seduction. As an action you can expend one of your uses of Bardic Inspiration to choose one creature within 60 feet of you that you can see. That creature must make a Wisdom saving throw, unless it is immune to being charmed. On a failed save, the creature is charmed for 1 minute or until it takes any damage. While charmed, the creature's speed is 0, and it can't benefit from any bonus to speed, and cannot target your allies. On successful save, the creature has disadvantage on all perception checks that do not target you.
Cutting Words
Also at 3rd level, you learn how to use your wit to distract, confuse, and otherwise sap the confidence and competence of others. When a creature that you can see within 60 feet of you makes an attack roll, an ability check, or a damage roll, you can use your reaction to expend one of your uses of Bardic Inspiration, rolling a Bardic Inspiration die and subtracting the number rolled from the creature’s roll. You can choose to use this feature after the creature makes its roll, but before the DM determines whether the attack roll or ability check succeeds or fails, or before the creature deals its damage. The creature is immune if it can’t hear you or if it’s immune to being charmed.
Lips of Rapture
Beginning at level 6, your kiss becomes an extension of your goddess's love. Recipients are left in a state of bliss for one minute that confers a +1d4 bonus to attacks, damage, ability checks, and saving throws. Moreover, it suspends the effects of Exhaustion, intoxication, and poison, which return after the minute is elapsed. You can perform this action a number of times per day equal to your charisma modifier. The target creature must also roll a charisma save against your spell DC, which if failed leaves them incapacitated until the end of their next turn.
Tears of the Evergold
At 6th level, a Heartwarder can, as a minute ritual, cry tears drawn from the sacred pool Sune shares with the Elven goddess of love, Hanali Celanil. Performing this may only be done once per long rest. If collected, the tears function as a philter of love and act as holy water for the Sunite faith. Furthermore, when a flask of the Evergold tears is used as a splash weapon, it functions exactly as a flask of Holy Water.
Grace of Sune
Beginning at 14th Level, The Heartwarder ceases showing the effects of aging and appears to attain eternal youth. She also no longer takes penalties for aging and cannot be magically aged. However, age bonuses still accrue, and she dies of old age as normal.
Additionally, when you cast a spell of the enchantment school using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, you regain one expended spell slot. The slot you regain must be of a level lower than the spell you cast and can't be higher than 5th level.
Lastly, the blissful energy you emit allows you to hover a few inches from the ground. You do not trigger pressure plates, can cross liquid surfaces, and descend harmlessly to the ground as if under the effect of the Featherfall spell.
