Many think of Sirens as the monstrous temptresses of the sea. While this is certainly the case in the modern era; before written history in the dawn of civilization, they were witches of incredible power over the oceans. A single Siren could turn fate against the strongest naval force. Ambition turned the early Sirens towards trying to capture the power of mortal minds, leading to their transformation into horrifying creatures and, ultimately, their downfall. Those that refused to follow that path have managed to preserve their true legacy in their daughters and sons. Songs can captivate; but they should be used to reach hearts, not control them.
