Those who make a pact of the royal are often devout and powerful knights who are devoted to their lord. As you create a royal pact think to yourself, why are you making this pact? Who is your patron? Do you agree with their rule, or did you make this pact unwillingly?

Fast Act
Part of the training to protect and serve your lord is to act as quickly as possible to specific situations. As a reaction, you can do any of the following:
- When you cast warp strike, you may immediately take one melee attack.
- You may cast Shield on any creature within 5 feet of you that was just targeted by an attack.
- When you see an allied creature within 30 feet drop to 0 HP, you can use your reaction to immediately cast healing word on that target.
Royal Guard
At 1st level, you acquire the training necessary to effectively arm yourself for battle. You gain proficiency with medium armor, shields, and martial weapons.
The energy that flows through the land of your patron is able to be absorbed into you, giving you extra vitality.
Taunt
Starting at 6th level, you know exactly how to drive a target's focus from your lord to you. Whenever someone within 60ft of you is targeted for an attack, you can use your reaction to try and taunt them. The targeted creature must succeed on a Charisma saving throw (DC = your spell save). On a fail, the target takes psychic damage equal to your charisma modifier. The affected target must stop their attack(s) and must move to attack you. The target has disadvantage on their first attack against you. This effect is counted as a charm. The effect ends when the affected target hits at least one attack on you.
This ability can be used once per short rest.
For the people
At 10th level, you learn how to aid the people of your country even more. Whenever you use a spell or ability that aids, assists, or heals ally(ies), the affected target(s) gain temporary HP equal to your charisma modifier (minimum of 1)
Milord's Will
Starting at 14th level, you learn how to manifest the will of your lord into your weapon. Whenever you hit a target with a weapon attack, you may deal additional damage with a specific strike. The power and effect of the strikes are based on the alignment of your liege:
- Good: 8D8 radiant damage. You then can restore HP = the radiant damage dealt to one allied creature within 30 feet.
- Neutral: 8D8 force damage. You and all your allies then restore 2D8 HP
- Evil: 8D8 necrotic damage. You then restore HP equal to the necrotic damage dealt.
